Hello mamas. I was wondering if any of you had any new ideas for a birthday party for a 12 yr old girl. My husband will be out of town and we are having a sleep over in addition to some kind of outing. (still undetermined also!) i was wondering if you had a good ideas of some place to take them for our outing and for something fun to do after we get home. If i cant come up with anything better, movie rentals and pizza will be our choice. I have read some great ideas on here in the past but can't seem to find any of them now. We will have about 6-7 girls and they are all "old" or very mature for 12 yr olds. If we could come up with some fun ideas, we may just skip the outing and stay home and have the party here. Thank you in advance for all your ideas!

What can I do next?

Sno-ball fight!

I have not met a teen yet who has not had the best time. Plus they get to make their own shaved ice. www.CandiSno.com Teen girls love to make sno-girls too, they really work on decorating them up. You would think they are too old, but they seem to have more fun than the little kids because they have better control of their hands.

If you are wanting to go for an outing, what about going to see a movie? Or something inexpensive is just go to the mall and get a smoothie, ice cream or cookie, girls love walking around the mall to goo-goo at guys or window shop.

Some girls like arcade games, although they wont admit it. lol But once they get to putt-putt they would have a blast. A lot of times you think teens are too old for things, but when you start doing something they have a blast!

Good luck and have fun!

WHat about having a spa party. They can just make over each other and have a blast doing it. If you would rather not have an outing I could come over and do a spa party for you and then the girls can just kick back, relax and watch a movie when the spa party was over. What girl don't love a makeover. And the best part is I do everything and you can just set back, relax and enjoy watching the girls have fun. Check out my ____@____.com

I'm offering a $75.00 discount for anyone that books a party by the end of January.

I'm sure the girls will have a blast with whatever you chose.

Ogle beauty school does parties - my 12 year old loved it - she went to a friends. They do their hair and light make up - then they all went and did a scavenger hunt at the mall - 12 year old girls love the mall!!!!

For my daughter we did a swim party (it was still warm in September) and had a taco/nacho bar followed by make your own sundae bar. The girls decorated their own flip flops and tote bags and all got towels for favors.

My daughter just turned 14 on 12/27/08 and we party every year.....

Some things we have done...........

We booked a suite at the Marriott at Shops of Legacy. Girls showed up around 4, they checked out the pool, we went to Nicola's for dinner, back to hotel, swimming, movies, late night room service for desserts/snacks, breakfast with Krispy Kreme and parents picked up by 10am.

Booked a limo, picked each girl up at her home, after everyone was picked up, drove around a bit in the limo so they could have fun, listen to music, look through sunroof, etc them back to our house for pizza and sleepover. This was so popular, we did it 2 times.

The last 2 year we've had a large party at our country club with a dj and lots of friends (all no gifts) which was a hit with the 7th-8th graders. Again, this one so popular we did it 3 times including an end of the school year party.

Other than that, with an only child, I have girls here all the time. They love the spa stuff with mani's, pedi's and facials. They love the Wii with Guitar Hero, Sports package and Mario. Anything with Itunes, music and dancing.

Good luck and Happy Birthday........They grow up SO fast!

I am planning a birthday party for our 10 yr old and I think we decided to go with a pool party at Keller Pointe. I am not sure if that is something that your daughter would like.
