Ice Cream Cake from Marble Slab?

My cousin moved to town this week with his family and his birthday is this weekend. We are going to grill on Saturday to celebrate and his wife wants me to get him an ice cream cake. With it being so hot I was trying to find the closest ice cream place around so that it wouldn't melt on the drive home. I've never had one from anywhere except Baskin-Robbins but that would be a 10-15 minute drive. There is a Marble Slab within 5 minutes - so have any of you had an ice cream cake from there? Was it good? If not any other suggestions for my area (Just off of 377 between Basswood and N. Tarrant)?

What can I do next?

I love Carvel IceCream cakes! They are my favorite. There is a Carvel in the center of Keller( in the Tom Thumb shopping Plaza) so it shouldn't be more than a ten minute drive for you.

We always use Marble Slab for our ice cream cakes.... they are SO yummy! In our opinion, it beats Baskin Robbins hands down!

MS is great and Walmart is ok. If money is not the issue the I would go with MS.

I think Sheridan's on 377 makes cakes. I have never had one but their frozen custard is awesome.
