I Need a Good Bra

Since nursing my breasts aren't what they once were. I am hoping to find a good bra that will help with lift and shape. I'm about a DDD, so regular bras don't quite do it, and it's hard to find something that will both work and look attractive. I've been to Lady Grace, but I feel like I'm wearing my grandmother's bra. My best luck has been Cacique (the lingerie department of lane Bryant), but I was wondering if anyone out there has some other ideas. I am in Metrowest Boston. Thanks!

What can I do next?

J., Many of us could also use a good, well fitting bra. What's really needed is a store that employs a fitter. Years ago there was a store in downtown Framingham call Mclroys (Sp.) that had an older woman who was a bra and corset fitter. She actually knew HOW bras should fit and would make adjustments to a bra or corset on a sewing machine. If anyone knows of a place where this is still done, please let us all know!

Hi,

I had heard that Nordstrom's had excellent bra fitters, so I went there. At the time I thought I was a 40C. Turns out I was a 38DD! It made a world of difference. I've had good luck with Wacoal bras.

J.,
I have 2 words for you girlfriend,
LADY GRACE
There is a new huge LG in Woburn next
to target. They measure you. Bras can be
pricey but they last! good luck :)

SORRY just saw what you wrote about LG-
I find nice bras there -maybe try the website
there is a huge selection! When you blessed
in the DDs it is hard to find cute bras that
don't look like granny's. I stand behind LG

I agree with the woman who posted about the Wacoal bras - I'm nursing now and have cheaper nursing bras, and really feel the difference. The Wacoal bras are a bit more expensive - and don't go on sale - but they are worth it!

Oh, Ro! I loved that woman in Framingham. She could just look at you and fit you.

BUT - I'm a 42DD and I buy Cacique bras at Lane Bryant. They will measure you there, and I've had pretty good luck. I buy the cotton bras with underwires, but I try to pick the wackiest/prettiest fabrics they have. Just cause the boobs are big, I don't need to wear Women's Prison Guard underwear!

They are also having a pretty good sale over at www.lanebryant.com, about half off.
