I Hate Waiting... - Green Cove Springs,FL

There are somethings I don't mind waiting for. Something sent in the mail, birthdays, holidays, things like that. I don't mind waiting in line at the checkout, or in the rollercoaster line, I don't mind waiting on my family to get ready.

What I do hate waiting for it answers. I had to learn to get over some of that while I was sending out queries for my book. I really hate waiting for test results, medical or school. Right now I am waiting because our dog has been ill and I had to drop her off at the vet to figure out what is going on. My daughter doesn't understand why we had to leave her, so I am getting ready to take her to the park to take both of our minds off of it.

So tell me what do you hate waiting for? What do you NOT mind waiting for?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

LOL I had forgotten some of these! I don't mind waiting in traffic, as long as I don't have to be anywhere. I DO hate waiting in line with my toddler! We usually team up so only one of us goes shopping because that child simply can not stand still. Same with traveling, waiting at the airport is fine...as long as I am traveling alone. (which has been exactly once :) ) but with toddler in tow...shoot me at anytime. The doctors office is the worst!!! I hate that they give you a time, and want you to be there 15 minutes early while they run half an hour late! So, frustrating.

Tracy K: I am waiting for our tax preparer to be done...I hate waiting for that too, because I just know it's going to be bad news. I would rather just start preparing now.

I hate waiting at the Dr.'s office.. like yesterday. They tell me my appt is at 11 am. Ok - I show up at 10:55 just to sit there till 11:15. I ask the receptionist if they are running behind and she says no. They tell their patients their appt is 15 mins earlier then what it is to help avoid people from being late. Well - I am not late and now I just wasted 20 mins of my lunch break waiting for my actual appt - which still includes another 30 mins wait for the Dr. GRRRRR

I hate waiting for my husband every single time we're leaving the house. I thought I was the woman in the relationship...I thought I was supposed to be the one who took longer getting ready & getting everything together before walking out the door... but that's certainly not how it seems to play out in my house. Every time it annoys the hell out of me when I'm completely dressed, shoes on, purse in hand, kids are ready & he's just now realizing that we're waiting on him. And this is not just a minute or 2, I'm talking like 10-20 minutes of sitting around just to go to the mall or whatever.

I hate waiting for payday! Right now I'm hating to wait for my tax refund.

I don't mind waiting when I've ordered something online. I'm like a little kid checking the mail and going online to track my package. I like the anticipation.

Dinners on the table, food is hot and smells good, everyone is sitting down except me who is at the fridge getting drinks for everyone. I call out "what do you guys want?"

I am met with silence because they are trying to decide. Its not like its hard. I'm not asking behind a full bar. Milk, juice, water are always available.

AARRRR! I'm hungry too, I want to sit down too (since I was just standing for an hour cooking), I was just offering to get them a drink to be nice. They end up getting their own drinks if they take too long.

I don't mind waiting in public anymore, in line, traffic or at the dr.'s office, since I got my e-reader.

I don't mind waiting at the airport or the auto service station because I get to people-watch or read.

Of course, that's only if I'm alone! WIth kids in tow I can't stand waiting anywhere because you never know when they're going to lose it! Supermarket checkout line with my 3-year-old is my least favorite place to wait.

Right now I am waiting for test results for my little guy -- xrays and blood work. It is a weird kind of waiting this time... I want the answer but I also don't want to know if it's something bad. My heart jumps every time the phone rings. We have an appointment prescheduled for Monday to go over the results (doc scheduled it before we even did the tests) and I am so torn about calling to check on the results earlier. Honestly I just don't want to know. I guess it is more like dread than waiting in this case.

i hate how terrible i am at being on time and having other people get impatient waiting for me!
i hate waiting in traffic and lines, i envy your patience with that. i don't mind waiting in restaurants if i can see they're busy, but i get evil if i'm waiting for a drink refill or for my dirty plates to be removed and the server is texting, or avoiding catching my eye while he yaks with friends.
i HATE waiting on hold, and i hate having to negotiated complicated robo-phone menus that prevent you from reaching a human.
huh.
i'm a pretty impatient person!

If I know I will be waiting then it's a little more tolerable. For instance, I sxpect to wait at Secretary of State, I don't like it, but I know it's coming. But when I am waiting because somebody else is screwing around or being inconsiderate, then I do get irritated quicker! Of course it also depends on the day!!

ahaha i hate waiting for like everything.. red lights and traffic definatley irritate me.. i have been counting the days on the calendar everyday since the beginning of january waiting for the day of my ultrasound when i will find out wether i am having a boy or a girl.. im even counting down to my appointment next week just because i know i will be getting a better ultrasound picture of the baby and will get to hear the heartbeat again... it drove me crazy when we brought my dog to the vet and then had to wait for the results of his blood test to see wether the tick he had on him made him sick at all it was absolutley nerve racking... there wil always be things you have to wait for..some are just much easier then others.. im waiting for my new shipement of proactive to come in the mail its definatley annoying but that i can deal with.. it helps to distract yourself or it will drive you crazy
