J., do you have a Bible? If so, read the Psalms. David often felt dejected, overwhelmed, depressed at the start of a Psalm, but ended up victorious, confident, joyful at the end. You may find some similar emotions and encouragement there. It's good to ask God for help. But, sometimes He wants us at the end of ourselves so that we can see how He lifts us up. It's when we realize we can do nothing on our own that He brings us His great help. You are never alone when you have God. The times of great trial in my life are the times I see God's hand so clearly in helping and loving me. Blessings to you!

Sending a prayer up...and a big hug to you!

I find that I feel my most loneliest when I don't reach out to others. Online cyber friends are great and we are here for you...but you need physical contact and conversation. I believe that sometimes life and other's people's choices sometimes throw us challenges too hard for us to handle...alone. You can not get through rough patches alone without often drowning. Rely on faith and prayer..conversations with Heavenly Father are empowering and healing. Reach out to a close friend, a pastor or a therapist. Get a journal and write down your feelings.

I wish you the best, peace of mind and comfort to your troubled heart.

J.,
I have always found comfort in Thanking God for the Promises that are coming my way even on my lowest of low days. Although you may not understand why things are the way they are, Thank Him for setting a path that will lead you to the petitions and desires of your heart. Joyce Meyer once said, "If nothing in your life makes sense right now, Trust God anyway". take comfort that He is working in your best interest J. and most definitely, I will pray for you! And here is a BIG HUG too!

Hang in there.
I have felt this very same way.
Keep praying. I will pray for you, too!
Sometimes when I hear an abulance siren, I thank God I am okay.
It makes me appreciate where I am at.....however hard, painful AND difficult it is for me right now.
I, also, almost died when I was pregnant, so hearing that siren reminds me on those tough days (which are alot) that I am okay, will be okay and am here (alive & well) to go through this trying time.
Sending you love, hugs, a mind at ease, prayers and a light at the end
of your tunnel.
Hang in there honey. You are not alone! I promise you that!

I can really relate! I think God wants me closer to him and that is a part of this season in my life, to be lonely and seek Him.

I noticed on the radio yesterday that Dr David Jeremiah for Turning Point Ministries is preaching on this topic. He said that as he travels across the country, what he hears most from believers is that they are battling loneliness.

Theresa's right, J.. You aren't alone. Part of the reason the ladies come on this site, if they answer questions instead of asking them, is that they like being here with others. We're here for you. You can write us - do that to help. And if you can go see a counselor, it might help. Ask people you know about their pastors at their churches, if you can't afford help.

Hugs to you, J.,
Dawn

Hi J.,

Take comfort in God's grace. I know you feel alone but faith in Christ is not just faith, but a relationship which brings companionship. Joy in your children. Talk with your Mom. Find a church so you can have friends locally.

I will continue to pray for you!

Keep up your prayers, and know you have much support (as evidenced below). But also don't forget to consider speaking to your pastor, calling a social service organization (many are faith-based), asking for specific help from friends or family, or turning to mental health services for extra help with coping, or better yet, helping to find solutions to the problems you are facing. God can help you not only by answering your prayers with divine intervention, but also by helping you connect with the people who can help you channel the power and strength that he provides you with. All the best!

Hi J.,

I just prayed for you. I can completely relate. Sometimes being a mom is a very lonely place. I decide that I will not allow myself to stay in that place, because it can be very dangerous. You can seep deeper and deeper and it's so hard to get out. Do you have a church home? Which part of NY do you live? I would be happy to talk with you and pray, feel free to contact me: ____@____.com the meantime, be well. God loves you!

I have this feeling everything will work out fine. You just need to know that God and your guardian angels are there. Keep in mind that angels speak very softly, so you really need to try very hard to quiet your mind and you will hear them. Think of it this way....all the trials we go through here will come to an end. There's a song on the radio that is very popular now called, "Keep Your Head Up."

I have been there. The Bible says that He (God) won'y give us more than He and I can handle together. Back in 2007 I suffered a miscarriage(July), followed by a very sick baby on vacation(August), breaking down trying to get home from vacation and on the night we finally did get home the dog died, Just a week later school started and my daughter was causing trouble almost right away(September), then October 10th my brother was in a motorcycle accident that nearly killed he (he needed 11 surgeries to keep his legs and be able to walk again), I broke my beloved camera while my brother was in ICU (seems small now but it was just 1 more thing), and then to finish off the year our 27 year old horse died on Christmas day. To say the least I was an emotional wreck. I prayed a lot everyday for God to take it all away and I finally realized that while I thouhgt God had abandoned me He was taking care of it all and I did survive. I love to scrapbook and just today I was scrapbooking the pictures from that time in my life. I could never have done that and had anything good to write but looking back now I know like the poem "Footprints" says it was then that God carried me. Hang in there. Pray without ceasing. Find a friend, Pastor, family member or neighbor that is strong in the Lord and be in contact with them daily. I had my Mom, husband and 2 other friends that were only a door or a phone call away and it got me through. My Mom went through it all with me and it brought us even closer together. God will not leave us nor forsake us. Count me as someone who will be praying for you. You can contact me if you want. God Bless and Keep you! A.
