My cousin recommended this to me today and wondered if anyone has
any experience with it. It is a bit pricey so I have found a Portable Hydrogen Rich Water Ionizer Maker online. Does it work just as well for health benefits? Thanks for any comment.

What can I do next?

Eat "real" food, drink "real" water, move more than you don't and try not to stress. Those things will give you the best "health benefits". Good luck.

If you've got money to throw away, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I can let you have at a great price!
Just kidding.
This stuff is pure quackery and snake oil.
Just walk away from it and I hope your cousin didn't waste too much of her cash on it.

What is the scientific rationale for altering water? What medical conditions are you trying to address? What clinical studies have you seen (other than claims made by the manufacturer, who has a vested interest in the outcome) that justify trying to somehow change the chemical composition of water? Is this the most economical way to achieve you goals safely?

Sorry, there's just not enough information in your question, but I think it's wise to be skeptical of claims that perhaps only show up in a blog here and there or on a seller's website.

Even if your cousin has had some results herself, what evidence to you have that there is a real cause & effect? (That's why double blind studies are critical.)

I'm always interested in new research and I work in food science with alternatives to medicine (or an adjunct to it) but I've never heard anything about ionization except anecdotal stories from non-objective sources. My sense is that mostly these gadgets are most successful at separating people from their money.

When my cousin was dying with metastisized cancer, he did a lot of research and decided that this water was a scam. He wanted to try anything. He did not try this.

Hydrogen and oxygen make water. H2O
It's a scam. Water doesn't hold extra hydrogen. At the most, you'll pay to burp.

The only health benefit is that it makes the bank account of the seller much fatter. Keep your money.

Adding a hydrogen atom to a water molecule creates hydrogen peroxide.
