My husband is leaving tomorrow afternoon until Sat sometime. He's flying out and driving back on Sat. So it will just be me and my 5 yr old and 3 dogs :)
I work week days. What the heck am I going to do Friday night a Sat? I have absolutely no clue LOL
My house is completely clean and organized except for my 5 yr olds room.
BUT I DONT WANT TO CLEAN LOL
And all my girlfriends are busy! Damn all the luck ;)
So my question is
what do you ladies do when you have time to yourself?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for all the wonderful ideas!

As it has turned out even though my husband is going out of town I just found out I will have all my step sons LOL The 5yr old is mine.
So I will have (all boys) 3,4,5,9,12. So I think Friday night we will get some movies and hang out in the living room. Sat I am going to take them to the water park. They should be good and tired so I will put them to bed early :)
Wish me luck sure is alot of kids for one person to handle :)

If it were me I would plan something fun to do with my 5 yo. Nothing beats that one on one time. I would MUCH rather be with my children than my friends on a Friday night anyhow.

Read, sleep, watch shows or movies he doesn't like, eat things he doesn't like, play with my kids, play online, work out, call my mom or sisters, sew, clean out my email box, take a walk, go to the park, go to the zoo, go to the library...

Dh goes away quite a bit, lol.

Take your child to a movie? Or go to dinner, just the two of you. Go to the park or go swimming on Saturday.
You can also put child to bed reasonably early and watch those movies you've been wanting to see :). Or curl up in with a good book. Maybe get yourself a nice treat (Ben & Jerry's or something) to go with it.

Take your child to dinner! It can be a date =)
If you have a little girl, maybe go get your nails done. If you have a little boy, go drive some go carts or something. Have a date-night then a date-day with the kiddo! =)

My husband has been gone since tuesday morning. He returns tomorrow night. I catch up on some "chick-flick" movies, call my friends, listen to music, and read. It's nice to have some alone time every now and again.

When my hubby is out of town my son and I usually go out to dinner together. On our own little date night. If we don't go out I usually cook foods that we both like that my hubby doesn't really care for.

Once he is in bed then I have a nice quiet night all by myself. Usually reading or watching TV shows that my hubby doesn't like.

Hope you have a fun and relaxing time.

I think you should take your son on a date - go out to dinner and a movie! Or take him to a bounce house or something that he would really enjoy ~

Do something with your 5 yr old. Indoor bouncy house, water park, park, something you'll do with him/her. You could go to the las vegas zoo. Take him/her to ride in some go-karts... girls like go-carts too lol. Watch a movie together. I love spending quality time with my little one... they are more entertaining than any friend.

My husband is actually gone tonight - I do a mini staycation with my kids when he's out of town...right now they are eating dinner in front of a movie in the living room...a definite treat! Then when they are winding down for bed usually I cook myself something yummy - or order something yummy, have a glass of wine and watch something on the food network. I'm also a big reader so I usually go to bed a little early and just read in peace. :) it's actually relaxing, although I'd rather him be around. But try to find out how to make the best of it with your favorite 'secret single behavior!'

When I have time all by myself, I go wine tasting, to a movie, to dinner.
When it's me and my kids, we like the drive in, a movie, we go hit golf balls at the range, to the lake. We even go get pedicures and coffee!

I like to bake or write or read or work out.

But I have 3 little ones, so when my husband goes away *I* go into overdrive! hahaha

Pour yourself a nice glass of wine, and do whatever you want! Have a bath, watch a movie, read a book, give yourself a mani-pedi and enjoy!
