Ok, I busted my lip. How do I help it heal? Every time I shower or eat the scab comes off and it starts bleeding again. I feel like it's never going to get better. Any tips?
My daughter gets a cracked lip every winter. A few days of Aquaphor does wonders to it. With the dry weather coming now I'm putting it on every night to try and stop the crack before it comes.
Keep it moist with a lip balm? Maybe just Vaseline?
Vaseline works well for me.
I use neosporin lip treatment.
I think vaseline is pretty amazing. It works so fast! I'm amazed at what it can do for my chapped lips in just an hour or so.
Lips usually heal pretty fast, so give it time ... and try not to smile too much?
You might want to try adding a dab of Neosporin at night before you go to sleep. That way it will have all night to heal.
I have some chap stick with mentholatum in it. If I get a crack in my lip, I keep the mentholatum on it and that works. Nighttime is very important in that regard.
Sorry this happened - ouch. Hope it gets better soon. Meanwhile, don't watch any funny movies...
