My window cleaners said to use lemon joy in some water (on an extra fine steel wool pad- I've just used the scrubby part of a sponge) to scrub, rinse, then use a squeegee to get the water off. This is how they clean the windows and suggested I do the shower the same.

Hi M.,
Oh, the weekly battle of the Shower Doors!!! :)
I keep a Mr. Clean Eraser in the shower and every few days clean the glass while in the shower. It helps keep down the soap scum so when it comes time to "Windex" I think it's much easier to clean.
Also, there is a glass cleaner called Hope's Perfect Glass that you can get at Bed Bath & Beyond. It comes in a black spray bottle and runs about $5.00. After trying several brands, it's the best one I've found for cleaning the 2 narrow windows by my front door. The sun shines though those windows and I could always see streaks until I started using Perfect Glass!
Hope this helps!

Yes, I use newspapers (as papertowels) to clean my windows and they never leave streaks. They may leave your hands with ink on them but that can be easily washed off, right?
I know it sounded weird to me, too, when I first heard about it, but I tried it and it really does a streak-free job everytime! Good luck!

Hi M.,
I have used 2 things to clean my glass doors (that work).
First, I use Shout (or any brand) laundry stain remover. If you spray it on and then scrub it with a brush it gets it clean and helps the water bead up and drip down w/o a mess for a while.
Second, in between Shout cleanings, I use a Magic Eraser. I actually keep it in the shower and have gone to work while conditioning my hair! I have not done it, but I would guess if you rinsed it and dryed it after using the eraser, it would dry w/o streaks.
Good Luck!
I still can't figure why they can't make doors that stay clean w/o any work!!

after using your cleaning product, wet newspaper and wipe with the paper. Newspaper and water will clean any kind of glass streakfree!

I use scrubbing bubbles glass cleaner. I let that sit and then wipe it off with a cloth and then rinse with water. Works like a charm everytime!
