How many times a day do you have to tell yourself to GET OFF of Mamapedia???

After every question I read or answer I usually mutter to myself...this is my last for the rest of day....
So the average is in the neighborhood of 12-15x per day. This sounds like an addiction to me when I look at just the numbers. But I'm not smoking or grabbing just a bite...I'm connecting...don't you think???

What can I do next?

I can stop anytime I want.

I don't have a problem.

I mean if it's not affecting the quality of my work and I can get everything done..... well.... then...

I don't mamapedia alone.... there are always others online with me!

I've never driven under the influence of mamapedia.... well, ok. just that once. But I swear it made me a BETTER driver......

hahahahahahahaha

Ha ha ha. My husband says I'm addicted.
Well.....
But I .......
Okay so he's right. Ha ha.
I don't care and here's why: I get everything done, take c/o my Alzheimer mom 3 days a week, will start taking c/o of a friend's child 1 day a week, take my child to th epark, interact w/him get chores done, make dinner etc.
My husband plays xBox & has been addicted to that for YEARS now!
So there! Ha
I did take a brief hiatus from mamapedia for a few days for the Christmas holiday!
Back away from the computer. ;)
It is my one guilty pleasure! Hi mamas!

I'll get off Mamapedia when you rip my laptop from my cold, lifeless fingers.

Not nearly as often as I used to (meaning, about 2 weeks ago). I am thankful that it is a busy time of the year which helps to distract me. And, my 5 yr old is on break from school, and he is not such a good independent player as my 2 yr old is, unless he's playing the Wii, which he is doing now.

Hoping I can keep up the trend of "unconnecting" after he goes back to school. I'm sure my household could benefit from a less distracted mama.

I do the same thing. Bargain with myself. Okay, one more question and then I'll do this and this and that and after that, I'll read some more! I set a list of things to accomplish today and when that was done it was Mamapedia time! I've done all I wanted to accomplish today, so this next hour is reading time! I have a hard time not looking at the site as soon as I come in. I usually do that and then read questions/responses periodically throughout the day. I probably spend way too much time here, but I work in an office where it's me and the boss. He's gone alot, so mamapedia helps me feel like I'm not alone all day. Thanks for the camraderie mamas!

i do days at a time... if I am Mamapedia-ing, then I set a time limit. When the dinger goes off or the kids wake early, need something, or have to get outside for some energy burn, I take in on the road with the Phone. I dont put Mama before kids, but sometimes I think I might like too
