Help W/ Party Games for 3 Year Olds!

You could have a big sandbox with prizes hidden in the sand that they dig out. Pin the tail on something? Pinata? They have those kind of pinatas now where the kids pull the strings out vs. hitting it with a bat or something.
Have you already sent out the invitations? You could ask all the children to come in their PJs and have like a pretend Slumber Party theme. Popcorn, read a story to them, do a craft,and they could each take a stuffed animal home with them for their "goodie"?

You know what? My experience w/ games w/ little ones- it is like trying to herd cats! Just let them play & have a good time, while you & the moms hang out & chat. It'll be much less stressful & the kiddos will enjoy it as much, if not more...BELIEVE ME!

I wouldn't suggest lots of orgainzed games, but maybe having different activies going on at the same time and let them choose what they feel like doing (ask parents to man the activies so you can float around). For instance, at our family reunion, we have two face painting stations, a craft table and games going on at the same time. For the crafts, you can get foam visors with peel and stick decorations (try Michaels and JoAnn fabics had them for a dollar) and the decorations were like $3.00 for a whole bucket. Poloraid camera's are fun. Earlier this spring I was at a party where the mom got some cheap terra cotta pots and she had the kids paint them, and then plant a flower (like a daisey) in the pot. It was a great take away from the party. Good luck!

My son is 3 1/2 and we didn't have any games at his party. But we did have an arts and crafts project that the kids got into. Check out the website Oriental Trading Company, they have tons of games and crafts.

I would say lkess organized games and more structured play. And I wouldn't worry about needing to give them a prize for very game. Then you will juist be picking up random toys and candy that have been thrown on the floor and kids fighting over it. I'd just wait till the end of the party to give the party favor.

Like a pinata, water ballon fight, follow the leader, musical chairs, leap frog...

Have you thought of the duck game? Purchase some cheap yellow duckies (probably have at the dollar stores) and sharpie ink in numbers on the bottom. Let them swim in the bathtub or wading pool outside. They pick a duck and the number on the bottom corresponds with a prize (you could just pretent what it matched up with). That and bean bag throws are fun.

What about a game with music that when you turn it off they have to "freeze"? They usually like being silly and jumping around and stuff.

Some kind of arts and crafts would be fun.... maybe have some construction paper hat bands cut out, and provide lots of stickers and crayons, and after they're decorated you go around with a stapler and size it to fit and they will have something to wear at the party and take home.

I am in agreement with some of the other moms. I have a 3 1/2 year old and over the past year we have been to a lot of parties and it is impossible to herd and keep a big group of 3 year olds! A pull string pinata would work (only because all of the kids like to chase after the candy!) but other than that it is just like herding chipmunks! Chaos! If you had more than 2 weeks I would suggest planning an activity - we did pony rides for my sons first birthday and we did the Big Blue Choo Choo for his second birthday (train rides) and then I got smart and we had his 3rd at Pump It Up! Maybe you could rent a bounce house or something! Tire them out! It is a futiel effort to try and get the attention of 15 three year olds! My sister has twins that will be three in September and I have gone to a lot of her Mothers of Multiples functions and quite honestly it is just controlled chaos trying to keep up with them! 1) Pin the tail on the donkey is good, except don't use blindfolds. With the 3-year-old crowd, they think it is fun to put it everywhere but the tail.

2) Bean bag games are fun, even putting some hula hoops on the ground and having them toss the bean bags toward them is fun for them. Or, you can get a board with different holes cut out.

3) Not a game, but worked at my son's 3 year party...I had a train theme, so cut out a train shape for each child and had a table full of train-themed stickers that they could stick onto their train.

Hello. I'm almost 13 years old, and my lilttle brother loves Toy Story. Anyways he's turning 3 years old, and my mom has been stressing out so much. I know that I'm only 13 but I have 2 older siblings, and 2 youger ones along w/ 2 nephews so I've been through a lot of partys. A good idea for games would be you could buy cheap little instruments, and let the little kids play w/ them. Then have everyone clap they hands, and no matter what give then a prize. Trust me their faces glow so bright. Another idea is to buy toys related too the theme of the party, and just let them play w/ the toys, and keep them. Come on they 3, and really do well with orgainized games. Hope I help!!!!!!!!! :~) lol
