Has Anyone Used a Small Sun Tent for the Kids at the Beach?

Just wondering if anyone has purchased and used one of those small, blue( the one I saw) tents that seem to be just purfect if you have small one's at the beach. I basically need to know name, cost, how big inside, set up time/easy-hard,does it get to hot inside, does it get a breeze and finally does it pack up nicely. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm really tired of buying things that don't work. Any information would be great.

We bought one at least 9 years ago from One Step Ahead. I know this, because we still have it and still use it. I have twins who are 10 and an 8 year old. It is simple to step up (just unfold and it pops up), included anchors go easily into the sand or grass, and take down. Folding it to get it back in the round carrier is a bit tricky at first, but once learned is simple. We use it today at swim meets as a tent to keep cool between events. It is open in the front, but the back zips open and closed so you can choose depending on how much air you want coming through. It is very comfortable inside even with the back zipped closed. I recommend getting a bigger one, so there is enough room for you to sit in there as well. Sorry, I don't know the price.

We bought a Graco one from Tuesday Morning a few years back for about $15. It "pops" up and folds back into the carrying case. It's a great idea but was actually useless for us. DD never wanted to stay in it and sand gets tracked all over the inside so nothing stays "clean". We use more for an indoor tent than enything else.

Easy to pack and tote but no breeze the kid gets super hot.

One of the moms in my moms group brought one to the beach last year for her 2 yr old. Needless to say even some 3 & 4 year old boys thought it was pretty cool to sit in. It seemed very easy to set up & take down. I think it was also the One Step Ahead.

good luck
