Laser hair removal is wonderful! I have done my bikini and underarms and love it. It takes about 5 to 6 sessions. It does not work on blond or red hair. It has been amazing - I never have to shave. Cost wise - I would shop around and fine someone with a package for the year. For example, $250 for underarms for the year. You will go about every 6 weeks till all the hair is gone. It took 5 sessions for my bikini area and 7 sessions for my underarms. It feels like you are getting pricked when having it done, but very bareable. Good Luck & you will love it.

I am finishing up laser hair removal (bikini & underarm) and have had great results. I highly recommend Nuvage in McKinney (Eldorado Pkwy). They do packages and usually have specials - I think right now it's 25% off for legs. You have to go regularly to catch all the cycles of hair growth. I like Nuvage because the package is for 1 year and they will take care of you beyond that, if needed.
DO NOT go to Clinic Esthetica. My husband went to remove small patches of hair on his back/neck. They did not have a good laser, he paid a fortune, and in the end Dr. Graves left him high and dry, as she stopped doing backs. Make sure you pick a place that has good customer service - or get a referral. I can tell you that the people at Nuvage will take good care of you and will let you know if you are a good candidate for laser hair removal. (dark hair with light skin has the best results).

Good Luck.

Hi K.. I just finished my fifth treatment on my legs. I have also done bikini and underarm. I have super dark hair and I was shaving many times a week. I also had that issue on my lower leg where you could see the dark roots, even when my legs were smooth...very annoying! Now the root issue is gone. I will tell you that I still have to shave (all areas) but it is way less often and the hairs are very soft. Laser Hair removal is a reduction process so I don't know if it's possible to get to where you never have to shave at all. I still think it was worth it. I went to Sona in Frisco, but I would shop around for the best deal. In retrospect, I should've gone with someone who offered free touch-ups, since I obviously needed more treatments than 5. I hope all of this helps.

I've had great success with laser hair removal. It smarts a little but a lot less than waxing! It can be very expensive and almost everyone makes you purchase a package. Check out Smooth Solutions. There is one in Plano and you can look them up online. They have something on special every month - underarms $49, bikini $99, etc. You can purchase one session at a time or several - a good way to get all the sessions at the sale price. Because this is all they do (besides some microderm) their prices beat everyone and they are very good. Tell them A. Curriden sent you - you get a discount for referring friends!
