Halloween Party Help!
Hi everyone, I am having a halloween party for my two little guys (7 and 5). I would love to get some great ideas for fingerfoods that are halloween themed. I am already planning on making Ghost cookies and pretzel rods dipped in chocolate. I would love a few more ideas for cute halloween finger foods so if you have a cute and creepy recipe please let me know. THANKS

I give my daughter a Halloween bash every year and each year we find creative food options for picky kids. One item that goes over big are "mummy hotdogs," which are hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls. Wrap the (un-cooked) hot dogs with crescent roll dough and pop in the oven. Add poppy seed eyes and a mustard drawn mouth. These are cute and tasty. Make it real creepy by using black food coloring in the ketchup for dipping the mummies and fries. Have fun.

One that we did one year was apple slices with peanut butter (or yu can use caramel if you are making them in advance).. on them and we used candy corn for vampire teeth with mini marshmellows in between.. the kids LOVED them!

For my son's 5th birthday I found a recipe for eyeball cupcakes - he loved them! He liked helping me decorate. Here are a couple different versions (I used the one from epicurious):

I like to make the mummy wraps with hot dogs wrapped in a crescent roll, you can use a little ketchup to make a face. You can also use the mimi hot dog and make smaller ones.

I love the Kitty Litter Cake. Here is one link: http://www.fabulousfoods.com/index.php?option=com_resourc...
You can google it and get better pictures. It is really cool to serve it in a real kitty litter pan and scooper. If you can use Nutty Butter cookies, dip them in white chocolate then use two mini cho. chip to make eyes and they look like ghost. Also another gross one is to dip the thin pretzel sticks into white chocolate, then attach a mini marshmellow on each end and dip into melted butterscotch. They look like used q-tips. You can also use your ghost cookie cutters to make mini pizza. Just roll out the dough, cut shape, top with pizza sauce, cheese and sliced black olives for eyes, eyes removable if too gross to eat for some kids.

Hi. I used to have Halloween parties when my boys were little. Hint:Use cake frosting as a "glue"... Favorites were: 1.Mounds candy bars with chow mein noodles for legs and mini m&m for eyes-looks like spiders. 2. Lift up the top half of the nutter butter as to resemble an open mouth(it will look like the top half is cracked in half), cut a tongue for a snake from a fruit roll up and insert, use mini m&m for eyes. 3. Mummy fingers- Wrap mozarella cheese sticks inn strips of flour tortillas, dot on eyes with food coloring and a toothpick. 4. Marshmallow eyes- On a large marshmallow-using a toothpick make crooked lines with red food coloring and stuff a raisin in the middle for the middle of the eye. 4. Witches fingers-Use the Philsbury breadstick dough, cut in thirds and shape, insert a slivered almond at the top to resemble a nail, bake and serve with pizza sauce. Have fun!!
