I am looking for a place to get my one year old son's first haircut. I hope to find somewhere that is kid friendly and where the stylists have some serious experience with young squirmy children. I prefer somewhere in The Woodlands/Spring/Tomball area. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS!

What can I do next?

Playhouse Cuts at Grant and Jones in Cypress is greatand worth a little drive. It is not a franchise and Shirley (the owner) is always there. My son went there for his first haircut, he even got to paint his hand print on the wall and we have been going there ever since. He screamed for the first 5 years! She has video games, movies, and a cool car and an airplane for the kids to sit in while she cuts their hair. I prefer this place over the big chains - I feel like I am helping to support her dream of owning her own business while getting more personalized service! Give her a try! TS

I and my friends have all taken our kids to cool cuts for kids. They have a fire truck or car that the really little ones can sit in. They also take a picture of the kiddos and have a pouch in the card for a snip of hair and the picture! In the "kids" waiting area they will have a movie on or the kids can play with Thomas trains. Older kids can play video games at the waiting area. When the kids get taken back for their hair cuts, they can watch a video or play games.

Cartoon Cuts in the Woodlands. It's on Woodlands Parkway (I think)...Sterling Ridge Shopping Center on the HEB side of the street. My daughter throws a fit every time we get her haircut and they have done a really good job. And they do it fast! I always joke that thay are going to ask me not to come back. My son turns 1 on Friday and that is where I'm taking him. They have videos at the stations and the usual kid friendly items. I live in Cypress and have tried kid salons closer to me. I prefer Cartoon Cuts.

There are two great places that I know of. Sweet 'N Sassy in the Market Street area in The Woodlands and Snip Its in The Woodlands Mall. Jessica at Sweet N Sassy and Rhonda at Snip Its are both great! Good luck!

My 8 year old daughter has always loved snip its in The Woodlands Mall in the back corner of the food court. It is kind of hidden.

There is the salon in the Woodlands Mall by the food court called Snip its and its just for kids. I don't know how well they do but they must have experience with little ones. Good luck.

Hi,
I have to reccommend Leo. He used to play water spray bottle with my son. My son is 23 now but still won't go anywhere else. They had a great time together. So did he and my oldest son. He works in a shop off Hanna RD in Oak Ridge and has 6 or 7 kids of his own. Go to i-45 to Woodlands Pky exit. Go over the bridge to Oak Ridge then follow he Rd til it dead ends. Go right and look for the barber shop. They just recently relocated so I am not so sure the exact location. But I hear it isn't hard to find.

I hope you get some good pictures.

There's a place inside The Woodlands Mall in the foodcourt next to the carousel. It's a kid's place, it looks like fun. They even do mani & pedis for little girls.

Well, we take our son to a barber. They are fast and really good. We use the one in Magnolia next to Kitty's cafe. They were the first place to successfully cut his hair!! I have taken him to the "kids only" salons...nothing good came out of it...
Good luck!!
