I'm looking for a 'diamond in the ruff' salon. Having moved to Phoenix from S. Calif, I've found the hair stylists to be a mixed bag here. I used to get a fabulous cut & highlight for $65-$75 in Newport Beach. It's twice here in Phoenix and I'm not wowed by my hair cut at all. Can someone please recommend a reasonably priced, experienced hair stylist who is good a working with the hair that I have on my head, and not just what the magazines show or what's 'in'?

What can I do next?

I used to go to a salon in N. Scottsdale and my sylist just moved to S. Scottsdale. The salon is called SalonTru and her name is Misty. They are at 7050 E Indian School Rd and the number is ###-###-####. I loved that I went in with my hair all crazy and she looked at it for a bit and came up with a hair style that I love. :) Good luck!

hi Jennifer,
there is a boutique /hairsalon called L'Deva boutique and Hair Salon located on 5thave off Scottsdale road. the hairdresser/owner's name is Debbie and she is very good both with color and cuts. Tell her P. from Angel Wings and Other Fine Things sent you in then you can stop in my store across from hers and show me how she did there is also another one nect door to hers that specializes in African American hair and her place is called Hair on 5th. My store address is 7121 E 5th ave Ste 1 and there salons are in the back of my store. Good luck. if all else fails there is another one called Juno's in about the same location./ You can find the address and phone numbers for these in the phone book. If you go to Juno's ask for Juno. most places in phoenix are the same (about 50 for a cut and 50 for a color), yes a little more than you paid. At 24 th street and camelback there is a place called "state of the art" the owner is David Pang. He gives a great haircut, mixes just the right color, and doesn't try to sell you a product you don't need. He has gone the extra mile for many of his clients. Hint: he is open on mondays and it is less busy mid week.

Hi Jennifer,
You have some really good leads. I'd LOVE to do your hair for you. My salon is a little bit further for you though. We are in Mesa on Val Vista and Southern. Our cuts are $27.00 and our color ranges from $45-$65 depending on what you have done. All of us have been doing hair for a number of years and do a great job. My name is L.. Our salon is called Divine Hair Design. Tamara is actually the owner although I'm listed as the owner here on Mamasource. If you'd like to just come in for a consultation that would be fine too. We give our mamasource clients 10% off on their first visit too. I'm there on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. I'd love to meet you. Either way I hope you find someone you are comfortable with. The number to our salon is: ###-###-####.
Good luck,
L.
