Great Hair Stylist (Short Hair) in Gilbert/Chandler

I go to a girl named Jennie ###-###-#### she is at higly & southern at Signature Salon Studios. She is awsome and very nice. I have been going to her for 8 years now and have followed her when she moved but she now owns hewr own space at the studios. Its behind quiznos on the north west corner. "Jennies Place" is the name of it. Haircuts i believe are $20

I go to Leslie Latish at Believe Salon. She's in the Signature Studios building on Gilbert just west of McQeen. I've been going to her for 4 years. She's cut my hair when it's been long and short. I also have her color and highlight my hair. I pay approx. $100 for a cut and color each time I go. I think the cuts are around $40-50 and the same for the color. Her number is ###-###-####. My neighbor goes to her (that's how I found her) and I just sent a lady I work with to her. She is just as good as the stylits in the expenive salons in Scottsdale.

Try Carrie Wooden at Ambiance Hair and Salon on Warner and Lindsey in Gilbert - I have followed Carrie around to wherever she has moved in the last several years - she is young, (30's), fun and now owns her own salon, and she is great with short hair. Brea Moore at Jacar beauty lounge in Gilbert. I am not sure of their prices for short hair,I have long hair. However,I find her affordable I have been going to Brea for 4 years after going through five hairdressers. Jacar Beauty Lounge ###-###-####. Tell her B. S. sent you. Good luck.

Kendra at Fantastic Sam's is wonderful and the hair cuts are reasonable. It is located in the Basha's shopping center off Baseline and Greenfield. Do not have the number handy sorry.

I go to Brooke Hamblin - she's a single mom with an in-home salon that also has a little play area if you want to bring your daughter. I have short hair, and she does a great job with it. I always get lots of compliments. She is located off of Greenfield and Elliot in Gilbert. I think she charges around $30-ish for just a cut. I usually get color at the same time and it's around $80. Hey there! I know you mentioned Gilbert/Chandler area, but I really love Mood Swings Salon in downtown Tempe. I have very thick, coarse, long difficult hair, and I've never had a better cut than at Mood Swings! Khristine Leatherman has been cutting my hair for about a year, and she is phenominal. I have seen her do short cuts, and they come out so cute; her speciality is difficult to manage hair (not sure if your hair is difficult) ;-)

Anyway, let us know what you find!

If you are willing to travel a bit there is a place at Main and Lindsay behind KFC called Illusions. I highly recommend either Evelyn or her daughter Tina. They have been cutting my hair, my daughter's hair and my mom's hair for over 12 years. My mom has short hair, my daughter has long hair and I've had both. I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you want to give it a try call them on their cell: ###-###-####. Prices range from $15.00 for a hair cut and under $100.00 for a perm. Not sure about color or other services but no single service is over $100.00. One needn't pay big bucks for high quality hair services. I consider them very talented and very reasonable. Hi L.! I have been going to a guy named Omar for years and I really like him. I also have short hair. He does a great job. His salon is called Hairadise, and is located in Mesa off of Power Rd and Baseline. His website is http://www.playboyhair.com.

I love mine! I have a super-short pixie cut and have been going to Carmen for 4 years. Now 2 neighbors of mine and mu MIL go to her and my optometrist also asked who did my hair yesterday! Carmen has short hair herself, but my neighbors that use her have long, long hair, so she's very versatile. (She's also black, so she cuts AA hair as well)

She's at Vertigo 5 in the L'image studios bldg on Alma School, just north of Warner. ###-###-####. I live in Gilbert, so it's about 15 minutes or so to get to her. Well worth it, though!

Her prices are about $30-35 for a cut. I also get foils and my price for foils and cut ranges from about $60 to $80 depending on how much color I get. Sometimes I only get about 8 foils, sometimes more. I think her prices are good. I've paid much more for color and cut.

I love Amy at Great Clips. She works at the store on Chandler Blvd/Gilbert by the Frys- if this is close to you, give her a shot.
My hair is short and spiky in the back- it needs a very special way of doing it to get it to lay correctly, and Amy is wonderful! She's really the only one I trust, and believe me, I've tried lots of places, even pricy places.
Call ahead to see if she's in (sorry, don't have the # handy)...the cut is $13 and that's great, because I go in every 4-5 weeks.
