Gymnastics Party Favors

My daughter is having a gymnastics party for her 5th birthday. I'd like to have themed favors, but I'm having trouble finding anything. There are boys coming to the party, too, so I don't want them to be too girly. I also don't want anything that the kids won't actually use (I found key chains and other stuff like that). Looking online, one woman suggested hula hoops since they use those in the kids' gymnastics classes, but they are pretty expensive for a favor. Any other ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the advice! I ordered from Oriental Trading Co, as suggested. For a "stay active" type theme, I went with jump ropes, decorate-it-yourself flying discs, and water bottle covers that I'm going to personalize myself. I'll also include bottles of water to go in the water bottle covers and snacks.

Have you checked Oriental Trading? (orientaltrading.com) We usually get our party favors from them, and I'm almost sure they have hula hoops.

A few ideas that pop into my head would be...

For the girls, hair ribbons, body glitter, hair glitter (like they wear on TV!) the boys are a challenge...I won't be much help there!

For prizes for games you could do gold, silver, bronze metals for 1st, 2nd and third. They sell them at the party store.

for a game you could set up a balance obstacle course (very low to the ground of course) The one that makes it the farthest gtes 1st, 2nd and so on.

That's all I can think of right now.

I had a gymnastics party for my 5-year-old son, but we actually had a "Cars the movie" theme for the invitations and some of the favors. I did want favors that went along with the "stay active" theme of the gymnastics center though. A couple items I included were Cars super balls, and punching balloons (non-Cars). I found them at Party City.

Water bottles, medals from the party store (usually come in 6 pack), stickers (Simplystickers.com), and I googled and found this http://www.gymclip.com/access06.htm
