Green and Granite
With all this going green stuff, I feel overwhelmed. What are you mama's cleaning your granite counter tops with?

Granite is very expensive stuff. Check on the internet and use what's recommended. When Al Gore moves to a shack in the country and stops flying around in a private jet, I'll worry about "going green" with my cleaning products. I'm guessing my carbon footprint is way smaller than his, anyway.

I use Method Granite cleaner. I recommend buying the cloth that goes with it. It works great!!

Good morning! I shop for ALL of my household and personal care items from an online wellness store. The products are all non-toxic and safer not only for your countertops, but for your family and the environment.
I'm kind of sad about some of the comments here. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD! So congrats on your decision to help out! One family at a time, right?
Let me know if you'd like info on the store I use. I've been a loyal customer for over a year and I love it. The products are cheaper than grocery store brands and other "green" products and are more effective as well. Most grocery store brands do not disinfect!
Look forward to talking to you!

I just know I'm so tired of hearing the word green ALL the time, I just use whatever I want to use. If it happens to be a green product, then good, if it's not a green product, then...oh well!! We should be able to use what we want to w/o the green police trying to make us all feel guilty because we're not doing what they think we ought to be. Happy greening!! :)

I use Method cleaner, too. It smells so good! The other option is to used a very clean cloth and hot soapy water. After you wipe them down, take another clean, dry cloth and buff them a little.
Good for you for trying to do a little green.

I don't have granite counters but I have watched a few home improvement shows warning homeowners not to use vinegar. It breaks down the sealant they use.
