Golden Nugget in Las Vegas

Actually, have you checked the hotel's website? I have found that sometimes the hotels themselves have the same or even better deals than all those travel websites. Plus they sometimes have packages with food or freeplay credits. It's worth a look. Btw I love the golden nugget their pool is awesome! I don't know if you've stayed there before but if you have kids it's worth every penny. They have blackjack tables right by the pool so you can gamble and the kids can swim. It's the only place I'd stay downtown.

I have booked though Yahoo for flight AND hotel..otherwise google "online coupons" and see if you can find any deal or coupons..if not I would call the GN and ask them how to get a discounted rate. They may say "sign up via email and we will give you a $35 rate or something. Vegas HAS to be hurting..I remember after 9/11 we got a flight for $50 and stayed in Old Downtown for $25 per night..it was sooo great.

If you're a AAA member, you can get a AAA rate at the Golden Nugget. That's what I do when we want to stay there for their amazing Shark Tank pool! Just go to the AAA website.

Try Travelzoo, vegas.com or vegas4locals.com. Weekdays are usually cheaper than weekends, and prices will vary wildly depending on what conventions are in town at the same time you want to come.

How many of you are going? If there's enough of you, I bet you can contact the hotel's special events or concierge department and ask for a group block of rooms at a special rate.

we always get really good rates when we stay at the Stations ... Palace, Boulder, Sunset Palace is just off the strip, and Boulder is further away and so is Sunset but they have really good rates.
