I am needing unique gift ideas for hostess gifts. I don't want to give the typical lotion, gift certificates, etc. If you know what I mean. Obviously these are VERY special people in my life and they are doing such a nice thing to give me a baby shower for my second baby and would like to thank them in the most thoughtful way possible.

When I had my daughter's baby shower I had 4x6 note cards printed with the baby name and date of the shower, I put that and a votive candle in a tule draw string bag with a little thank you note attached to the string, it made a statement because it was different and they loved it.

ok i am with you on the lotion and gift certs. they are like saying oh thanks but i didnt want to put much thought into it. there is a website called red envelope that i LOVE for things like that they have really cute gifts and many of them you can personalize. also if you participate in upromise they give like 10 percent i think.
