General Contractor in S/SW Suburbs

Believe it or not, I have two contractors that I would recommend. The first would be Skyline Restorations. They remodeled our kitchen. Doug Burton is the owner and was very involved in our project. Phone # ###-###-#### They give free estimates. Second is Mel's Contracting, phone# ###-###-####. They did a second story addition for us (that included 2 bathrooms). Jim Melnick is the owner and was also very involved in our project. Neither contractor was the cheapest or the most expensive quote that we received. Skyline was a leap of faith, at the time of our remodel (we had never done any remodel work nor had any friends) and they couldn't have been nicer or better to work with. Mel's quote came with several other quotes and it was a tough decision at the time, but we were very happy in the end with time, cost and construction. Now two other houses on our block (one currently in the middle of construction) have used Mel's for their additions. I would highly recommend both Skyline and Mel's and they would both be a good place for you to start with quotes.
