My son has had terrible stomach cramps now and again. Suggestions on what to give him? I try to just keep him warm and move his legs, but last night was pretty bad. Poor baby screamed off on and on all night. I think it was a new food. Stage 2 Sweet Potatoes and Corn?!?

OH! And by the way....THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SIPPY CUP ADVICE!!!! He's doing GREAT!!!!! :)

What can I do next?

Try Mylicon. I had a gassy colicky daughter until she was about 10 months old. The Mylicon is a gas relief that eats up all the bubbles in their bellies so they can relieve the gas easier. It seemed to me theMylicon worked the best, but they do make a Little Tummies brand also.

Corn is a gassy food. I bet if you stop the corn it will subside.

Sorry you had such a rough night!!

Gas drops...similicon (sp?). Brand name Mylicon. We used them a lot when our daughter was very young and swallowing a lot of air while nursing and they worked great. You can get the generic version for much cheaper. Go to the health/pharmacy area of Meijers.

Go with Gripe Water. It is a miracle worker and all natural, so you never have to worry about giving them too much or what effects it might have on them.

Hi T.,

Mylicon gas drops for infants might help. I used to give them to my son as well. Also, try limiting the sweet potatoes & corn if you think this may be what's causing the gas.

Good luck!

Just an fyi, there is probably not a correlation but the American Academy of pediatrics book that we use to refer to for things lists corn as one of the top ten foods that kids are allergic to..might be something to check with the doc, again, don't mean to scare you and maybe he has eaten it before. Good luck.
