Fun Mom/Baby Classes and Things to Do in Bay Area?

I'm looking for fun things to do with my 20 week baby because she's becoming really mentally alert and physically active. Her play gym is just not enough, we both need to get out of the house, and it would be cool to do something where she and I can bond-for example mom/baby yoga, music, or baby games. Even museums or parks that are tolerant of babies would be great. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I offer Kindermusik classes in Mountain View, and the youngest level is for babies 0 - 18 months. My next session begins the last week of July. The classes include instrument/prop exploration, movement, and singing. Classes may have up to 10 adult/baby pairs. For more information, go to http://wendyofmv.kindermusik.net (I am also listed as a mama-owned business on mamasource--Kindermusik with W.).

My friend Christy runs Pi-Yo Play, mom/baby pilates/yoga classes, in the Bay Area. There's a class a Harmony, I think, one of the studios mentioned below, but her website also lists other places she has classes:

You can go to the Palo Alto Junior Museum. I'm sure she will enjoy some stuff there. No entrance fee, only donation.

look into the Mountain View Park and rec for some Mommy and me classes.

Also check out UMe: www.u-meplace.com/ it's kinda like a My Gym but has a coffee shop attached and different kids classes and mommy fitness classes. Does have membership but looks pretty cool. It's in Menlo Park so not to far from Mt View.

The Palo Alto Children's library is also very very cool and they have story telling and different programing for different ages.

Also check out the Bay Area Parent magazine- can always find tons of ideas there... it's the free magazine you can get at the Drs office, think baby's r us has it... the library...ect.

Have fun! this is a cool age they grow so fast!!

In about a month, she'll be ready for mommy & me swim lessons--a great way to start practicing water safety & getting in the water a bit yourself. We just go thru Parks & Rec for this, as the pricing is fantastic (about $4/class!)
Also, I'm a baby sign language instructor--I have a class forming at Whole Child Wellness in Belmont on Wednesdays @3:30, or you could gather a few friends for a private playgroup which would allow you free tuition. We play, sing songs & do lots of hands-on activities together as you learn American Sign Language, which helps give your baby a 'voice' long before she's able to use spoken language. www.riseandsign.com
