Hey Moms!

I am 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my second. I didn't sleep well last night and woke up feeling really sick and nauseated. I have gone #2 (sorry TMI) 5 times since 7:30 this morning. I still feel so nauseous. I have been cramping in my lower abdomen for over 48 hours. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon but am wondering if I caught something (although my 3 year old isn't sick and neither is my husband) or if its maybe start of labor? I had a c-section with my daughter and never had any labor symptoms beforehand. I am also starting to get a bit of a headache too but I know that is common in pregnancy. I took some Tylenol last night for the cramping but it didn't seem to help and was up 7 times to use the restroom last night although only going pee.

What can I do next?

Your bowels "emptying" themselves is a very common sign of labor. =0) When it happened to me with my first baby, I couldn't understand why my stomach was so upset and my hubby was fine. Then, I started to realize that my "cramps" were coming and going. Pay close attention to your body. Sounds like you could be welcoming that little one super soon! =0)

It could be pre-labor. When I went into labor with my son, I felt 'off' all morning- but when I actually started having real contractions, the feeling was unmistakable different from regular cramps- it was almost an 'uncurling' feeling deep in my abdomen. Either way, just call your doctor and he'll most likely have you come in just to check on you. You'll be fine- good luck and God bless! :)

It's probably a good idea to call your OB and talk to a nurse. That's exactly how I felt the morning I was to be induced with my second child. I thought it was just nerves over what was to come. When we got to the hospital and got all hooked up, the nurse said, "Oh wow, did you know you are already in labor?" Induced or not, she was coming. GL!

Just be aware that when you're sick (if that's what it is) you can break your own water from coughing or vomiting and then you'll be IN labor. That's what happened to me. I coughed so much that my water broke at about 38.5 weeks. Take care of yourself. I'd call your OB/GYN and tell them your symptoms today.

Keep an eye on it , especially the cramping and see if they become more painful or come and go. Diarrhea and vomiting can be a sign of going into labor , I was like it with my first pregnancy at the very beginning of labor , once that wore off my contractions then came thick and fast.

It sounds like food poisening or labor. I would just wait and see or if I felt really bad if call the doctor. Make sure you stay hydrated because dehydration is really bad during pregnancy.
