I would first get rid of the fleas. What is causing them. I would try calamine lotion. It takes the itch out.

Witch Hazel (bad spelling ??) works great for itching, so does Sarna Lotion. I used to get the Sarna Lotion from my dermatologist but now you can get it at Walmart. Both that and the witch hazel (clear liquid and in a bottle similar to alcohol) can be found in the pharmacey area of Walmart or Walgreens.

My dad's fall back remedy for all bites, even red ants, chapstick! The brand name matters (chapstick)takes the sting out and doesn't fester. why it works- I dunno.

The cure all for fleas, chiggers, ant bites, etc. is Chiggerex. It's in a white plastic container with a red lid, and you can buy it at Wal-Mart. This is a creme.

The other thing we love is StingEze. It is also at Wal-Mart (try the camping section). Yellow plastic bottle with a green lid. It's a gel.

We have these in every vehicle, my purse, and in several rooms in the house since we are constantly dealing with ant/mosquito bites.

Campho Phenique (usually used for cold sores) in the tube works really well for mosquitoes fleas, etc.

When I was A kid and attended camps in the summer, this was on the list of things to bring to relieve bug bites. I always take a tube to the lake, the beach, on the patio, and carry one in my purse.

You can find Campho Phenique gel at pharmacies and grocery stores, and People's pharmacy carries a large tube.

Be sure to rub or gently scratch the gel into the bite. I TAKES A MINUTE TO HAVE EFFECT, BUT IT WORKS BETTER THAN MOST THINGS On THE MARKET. With flea bites, you may have to apply about once every hour or so for a while.

you can use hydrocortisone cream, but dont' use benadryl unless your dr is ok w/ it. Most pediatrician's no longer recommend using it on children under 2 years old.

Ask the doctor - but do whatever you have to do to get rid of the fleas biting him - it is a miserable thing to have to live with. If you have pets, go to Petsmart vet and get advantage or revolution drops for each of your pets to get rid of this (they come in single dosages which is cheaper). Your baby should NOT have to suffer with fleas biting him.

Hopefully the fleas are already taken care of, and if so, jsut follow your doctor's advice until they heal for what to put on them.
