Fitness Club with Adequate Child Care Needed in NW Burbs

My husband and I are shopping around for Fitness Clubs in the Coon Rapids/Anoka area and are looking for one that may have a child care center on-site. I think Lifetime Fitness offers child care but I'm curious to hear if anyone has had any positive/negative experiences with dropping thier child off there. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and feedback.

What can I do next?

The Lifetime in Coon Rapids has a nice child center. The people are friendly, and I felt like my son was safe and comfortable. They don't change diapers and they don't make bottles. They will give a bottle if you bring one prepared, but they'll page you back to the child center if your daughter needs a diaper change or is unhappy. We dropped our membership due to cost (2 adults is about $90 month) and lack of use. It was a lot of work to get my son ready to go, get him, his stuff, and my stuff there, and to somehow do all of that around meals and naptime. We'd still be there if we could make it all work out. Best of luck!

We belong to the Andover YMCA and they have a really nice kids area. It is very well secured and they have TONS of activites for the kids. If you want to know more about it just let me know.

We were very happy with lifetime when I was a memer and brought our now 5 yr old there begining at 5 months...AWe now have 2 and just making it work with 2 and my youngest not doing well seperating caused me to suspend my embership for a while. I am now cosidering joining again so I can bring both more mobile girls with me. All the clubs are different, but they also just bought our Norwest clubs and they do an very professinal job it all areas. I would say make aa appointment w/ the childcare director there and get comfortable with the club and the staff there and give it some time for you and your daughter to adjust to the new place and people. Many mom also work in the childcare and they understand the challenges and seam to really help get everyone adjusted. GOOD Luck!
