Get a couple of bottles of nail polish remover and a lot of cotton balls to soak up the remover and polish and have at it. Do open the windows for ventilation so the fumes don't go to your head. I had this happen with red nail polish when the neck of the bottle broke and it spilled on to the carpet. The other S.

I had some almost black polish spilled (thanks to some teens, lol) on my light beige carpet.

I got it out using the full strength nail polish remover and a LOT of blotting. Don't rub it and spread it. Blot blot blot.

Good luck.

Be careful with fingernail polish remover on carpet. It can delaminate the carpet (separate the backing from teh carpet) which ruins it - and it will not be able to be repaired without being patched with extra carept you may have! my two year old spilled a WHOLE bottle of bright red on my light beige carpet, by the time it spread out it was about the size of a soft ball!!! but, it ALL came out and you can't even tell now!
lots of water, alcohol, more water, some polish remover, more water and most important BLOT don't rub. good luck!
