Favorite Boy Names......
My husband and I are having the hardest time agreeing on another boy name. I was looking for some advice on names from Moms. Our last name is a very common so I want something a little bit more than just a proper name, but my hubby's not having it. Our first son's name is Alexander.....And that was hard enough to agree on.....
BTW we will be using my husbands first name as a middle name which is Daniel. Any help would be appreciated........Right now I really like Caleb Daniel...Husband isn't too keen on it he wants to spell it with a "K" not me ugg???

So What Happened?™
Thanks everyone for the names!! We've finally agreed on Nathaniel Maxwell. We've decided to keep the same # of letters as my first son's full name & used my grandfather & my favorite uncle's first name as the middle name. My husband's first name (Daniel) wouldn't go well as a middle name, but @ least some of his name is incorporated into this lil' guys first name.
Ha wouldn't be funny if after all this he pops out a girl...

My son's name is Dean William. I love it and my husband points out that it will be easy for him to learn to spell!
I also like Thomas and Merrill. Don't hear any of these that often.
Such a personal decision. GOOD LUCK!

Well, my 4 year old daughter told me the other day that she wishes she were a boy and that she wants her name to be Wyatt. Not sure where she got that, but I thought it was a neat name anyway! =)
My husband wanted to name our kids "Nico" if they had been boys. I thought that sounded sort of Tony Soprano, but would have been ok with Nicholas and then calling them Nico. So you could always pick something normal, and then use a nickname that you like to make it a little different.

You know, giving him a "fancy" name will not make him a better person. Better to be named Joe Jones, and be a decent person, than to be named Aloysius Schuylermaker Pierpont Winterbottom Jones III and be an a--hole.
You and your husband could go through a baby names book, and each of you make a list of names you like, and names you might be willing to consider if the other person likes them. Then sit down and toss the names back and forth, and start by eliminating names that one of you just hates, and then names that one of you really does not like, and gradually work up to a list of possibilities. Then when he's born, make up your minds based on how he seems to fit the "possibilities."
My husband and I did this listing and eliminating, and talked endlessly about what to name him, and a day or two before our first boy arrived, he had a sudden thought, and came up with THE name.
