Baby Names What Do You Think?

I'd like to know which boy name you like best and then which girl name you like the best. Partner likes whole names and not nicknames.

Thomas Daniel or Daniel Thomas?
Emily Saige and which spelling Saige or Sage? or Emily Lorraine (like Lore Aine like Rain except no R)

1ST NAMES WE AGREED ON:
Abigail, Lillian, Emily, Miranda, Amanda, Saige and Andrea

1ST NAMES I ALSO LIKE BUT WAITING ON PARTNERS OPINION:
Heather, Rachel, Rosemary, Ruby and Abbey or Abby

MIDDLE NAMES:
Lorriane, Trisha, Johnra (John and Ra), Saige or Sage, Rose, Patricia

Update:
I'm surprised by the comments on the spellings. The first name spellings are traditional and easy for the child are they not? Maybe I'm missing something. It's the middle names that are a bit weird on some but nobody will really know his/her middle name so I'm not too worried about that. Please look at my first names and let me know if I'm missing something because I thought they are traditional and simple spellings that are not unusual. The last name is very unusual and starts with a P and sounds like P then the rest of it which I can't disclose. I am aware that Thomas and P is TP which is toilet paper but how likely is the child to be teased when Thomas is the first name? How about the middle name? Less so for middle name I'm sure.

What can I do next?

I think Emily Saige is a great name!!!

As for a boy, I prefer Daniel Thomas over Thomas Daniel. Just my opinion :)

Hi -

They're all cute, but I would recommend against a name where you have to let people know how to pronounce it (like Xanthe). Another thought - do you like the possible nicknames? You know that a Thomas is going to be Tommy in school.

Other than that, and this is just my opinion, I really like Daniel Thomas, Abigail, and Emily Saige.

Have fun with the names! That's such a fun part of pregnancy.

Thomas Daniel. How about Lillian Sage for a girl & you can call her Lily for short. Remember when you spell their names differently to be unique they will always get spelled wrong by teachers & everyone else. I would go with the simplest spellings to make it easier.

it sounds funny but when we were looking through names for our son i yelled them. i knew i would have to some day so i yelled the names to see how they sounded. i vote Daniel Thomas and Lillian Rose or you could just do Lily Ann good luck it is a tough choice ;)

I like Thomas Daniel for a boy. And for a girl you have lots of great names! If you pick Sage I would spell it like Sage. I love Lillian, Xanthe (very original), Rosemary and Patricia. Good luck to you!

I like Daniel Thomas a bit better than Thomas Daniel, but they are both good names.

Sage is the correct spelling; I'd steer clear of names with invented spellings.

I'd also steer clear of celebrity baby names. Go for the classics, the names that can't possibly become outdated and embarrassing -- Rose, Patricia, Abigail.

Lillian is a great choice, because it is not really common these days, but is a traditional name that has been around a long time.

Trisha and Abby work as nicknames if you name your daughter Patricia or Abigail.

Names are tough aren't they?!

I particularly like Thomas Daniel for a boy. My son met a boy at the playground last week named "Tobin" which I thought was a strong name (if ever we were to have another!).

Your girl choices...not as clearly decided on but Emily Saige (prefer that spelling for originality) or Miranda Rose are cute.

I do like unique names but always tend to go back to classic.

Good Luck and congratulations!

Of course some of it will depend on how it sounds with your last name, but for the boy name I like Daniel Thomas. Danny and Dan sound better than Tom and Tommy, to me.

For the girl name, I have always loved the names Lillian and Lily. Lillian Rose sounds really pretty.

I think Saige is a pretty way to spell it, if you use that for a middle name. For a first name it would be no fun because they would always have to tell everyone how it's spelled and correct people but for a middle name it's beautiful and unique.
My favorite combinations would be
Emily Saige
Lillian Rose
Andrea Saige
Rachael Rose is kinda cool.
I'm not fond of either names using the John.

I vote for Daniel Thomas and Emily Lorraine

I also like Ruby Lorraine and Miranda Rose for a girl, and Daniel Sage for a boy

I just wanted to add: Several of your top names were on the top 10 list for 2008 [Social Security]...so you may want to take a look at popular baby names to see which ones were a little less popular. Apparently there will be lots of other Emilys, Abigails and Daniels out there.
