Fake Tattoos on Kids.

Pretty much a sticker.

I'm totally fine with them, and really can't understand why some people aren't. If my son wants a tattoo some day...it's not going to be, because he had a temporary one at 3.

They're fun, just like any other kind of "dress up" play.
Just don't put a tramp stamp on your daughter...NOT cool!

I don't mind them as long as they are not all over their face and arms and when they start to wear off, I wash them off. I don't like them when they are super faded. And I don't like them on the neck or face.

My son loves them. I don't see the problem. They are way better than the stickers he attaches to himself. Did you know a Dole banana sticker when properly applied can last through three baths?

My girls love them, especially the glittery ones. They're cute, they're fun, and if you don't like them, just swipe some baby oil over them, and they're gone. What's not to love?

We allow them. Kids love them. We both have real tats of our own. We do have rules, no neck, no face.

My kids love them. Pretty harmless. I have one that is completely hidden and I hope my daughter doesn't follow in my footsteps but seems pretty harmless to me. I'm not against tattoos just wish I didn't do mine. Some are very very cool

I used to love them when I was a kid. I even put a rose on my ankle a couple of weeks ago and it freaked out my husband.
My little grandkids like them.
I dont mind the fake ones, I'm not into the real ones tho.

I find a fake tattoo to be a nonissue. It's not a tee shirt with an offensive statement, it's not little girl "hootchie-mama" clothing.

Our son can wear them on his arms.... once, he decided to wear one on his stomach, ha! Not such a show-off. :) We take them off once the tattoo starts to look dingy. I don't worry about him wanting a real one later. It probably takes the "cool" factor out of it to see that mom and dad have them. (ours are easily covered)

It is a little sad to see a kid with a fake tattoo advertising a product, but maybe that's their favorite thing in the world, you know?

In my opinion, far better than a REAL tattoo!

My kids have fun with them. Just like face-painting. We don't do them often, though.

I make sure my kids know that they will never have a real one, though.

I personally can't stand them, but it's not because I don't like tattoos (okay, so I don't like tattoos, whatever.)

The reason I don't like them is because I think they are ugly, tacky, and dirty looking. They begin to fade and peel, and then they look even worse. I've had a very difficult time removing a few from my child that were put on WITHOUT my permission and once was before Christmas portraits and I was SOOOO freaking mad.

Sorry to step on any toes. I just like the look of squeaky clean skin on my kiddos.

I love them, as long as my kids don't put them on their faces. I'm covered in tattoos myself, but I do draw the line somewhere. They are a great form of expression and art appreciation.

Harmless and fun. Last year our parent council meeting was the night before picture day and the babysitter hired to watch all the kids during the meeting did tatoos and face painting! Oops. It was kind of a pain scubbing it all off before bed that night!

FYI-They come off fairly easily with baby oil.

I am not a fan.
It depends on if they are the fake ones that are supposed to look real, (or the cheesy "kid" obviously fake variety) and how old the kid is, too.

But then, I am not a fan of tats in general, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. I don't care if you do it as an adult. Personal expression and all that. But, to me it is kinda like ear piercing. I don't like that on babies, toddlers and the like either. They aren't old enough to know if they want to do it. I am NOT saying it IS the same, so don't jump me. Just not my thing.

Tiger Tummies are so cute ;).... I love em as long as they are not on the face. My daughter came home from a stay at the cousins sporting a skull on one cheek, and a scantily clad mermaid on the other. I got after them, and so did my SIL. I was ticked since it took rubbing Alcohol to get them off and it really made her skin raw.

I feel just fine about them! My son's especially loved them a lot from 3-7. We even put snakes and skulls! They loved them and I don't see them as a problem at all.
My daughter should soon (within the next year) understand what tattoos are and I expect we will be getting some for her too.
Cheap entertainment.

The kids think they are fun, I agree, definitely not on the face. A parent should ask before placing one on someone else's kid too. Some are dead set against their kids even having a fake tattoo.

I have one on my butt cheek that they used to say "mom you have dirt on your butt"...lol. Now they say "you have a tattoo". I forget about it until they say something. I hope they don't get any and if they do, that they think about future careers and professionlism before getting one. Some jobs it's ok and others not so much. I have seen some beautiful ones on people. I wish mine wasn't there anymore but I don't feel like paying to have it removed, especially since no one will EVER see it...lol

I'm fine with anything that washes off at the end of the day.
If you've ever had a toddler who decided to draw all over themselves with 'washable' marker - it does wash off eventually, but it can last several days.
The temp tattoos are wonderful!
They are great for Halloween and other parties.

I don't have a problem with them at all. My 9 yr old has one right now on his arm. Its a school spirit fake tattoo. He loves them.
He wants to be like his dad, and he has tats on his arms. ( real of course )

my kids love them! I don't usually buy them, but when they get them from birthday parties and stuff, they will just cover themselves. I have no problem with them.

No problem on their arms, etc. As long as they are not trying to be "sexy" with it.

I just remember that tattoos were the ultimate in Cracker Jack prizes when I was a kid! They were so smeary and you could never really tell what they were supposed to be once they were on, but they were still fun :)

We have a neighbor girl who has 30 of them at any given time. arms, legs, face, etc.

Because of this extreme, I have grown to hate them. Her's are just too much.

I used to go to the LDS church. The prophet gave a talk once upon a time to a group of youth, counseling them to be cautious of getting tattoos. That they might regret the actions of their youthful venture and have to go through life with a permanent embarrassing mark on their bodies.

He counseled them of how painful it is to get them removed by abrasion or surgery. How hard it is to have that mark later in life if they still didn't love it like they did when they got it.

There were people that took this to mean that tattoos were a sin and that if someone had them they could not attend services on Sunday, if they had them and didn't remove them immed. they didn't need to even come to church because they would never be able to see God again, it was a mortal sin...seriously. I read the talk several times and got none of that out of it.

The prophet was simply telling the youth that sometimes when we grow up we don't like the same things we did when we were young and that something this permanent needed to be thought out very seriously.

I even had a Sunbeam teacher refuse to let my 3 year old granddaughter come in to her class until I took her to the bathroom and scrubbed off her Tinkerbell temporary tattoo that was on her arm from the Head Start carnival the night before. I left the building and haven't been back very often since then.

I think they are fun and harmless. Some do see them as telling kids that tattoos are okay. I don't think it matters what we have to say about them at this age. Their peers are going to have the influence on them when they get old enough to get one on their own. If they are all getting them then chances are yours will get one too. Hopefully it won't be something that they regret later in life and want to get rid of.

I really don't like them but I will let my kids get them at a party or function or something. I try to get them off ASAP as after a day or two they just look dirty and ugly.

It all depends on how you feel about real ones I think. Some people associate them as one in the same. I have tattoos, my husband has tattoos, my oldest has tattoos and when my kids were little, they loved the fake ones. The girls loved the glittery girlie ones and my son loved the super hero ones. Do actual tattoos influence the like or dislike, perhaps.
I love them, real or fake, as do the kids.

Its temporary and its just for fun, so no big deal. And if it matters I am one who finds tattoos on adults gross. My sister's step daughter showed up for the wedding rehearsal with a big one on her shoulder. It seemed like the most horrible wedding sabotage an X-wife could pull, but she was clean as a whistle the day of the wedding. I love those rehearsal snap shots. I had her pose with her arm just so. Cracked me up! My kids have never used them, but they do write on themselves with marker often and I hardly see a difference.

Well to be honest, I HATE THEM, but I've let my kids get plenty :) I'm pretty good now about just saying no, but for a while they had SO MUCH FUN getting them in the gumball thingies after a grocery store run (and they're super good in grocery store so I'm usually in a good mood then) I would humor them. But they stay on forever and are super annoying.

I have 2 real tattoos, so the fake ones don't bother me. My daughter still likes the fake ones from time to time :-)

What kind of horrible mother lets her children have fake tattoos???

I could take them or leave them. If my daughter gets one when she's out somewhere or at a friends house, I don't care. I bought her a pack for Easter last year which are still unopened.
I do hate them when they are a few days old and look gross. I don't know a good way to remove them and leave the skin, so that's kind of annoying.

I don't mind them. I let my kids have them as long as they aren't violent or too mature. They have to be very kid-like and age-appropriate.

No problem as long as they aren't inappropriate. I obviously wouldn't want a naked woman on my little boy. :)

My boys have them on their hands right now. An issue non-grata for me. Good to know about the baby oil though.

I really don't mind if my son has fake tattoos on him. He likes the thought about having a tattoo. I have 4 tattoos and he even has asked if he could get one when he gets older.

Having tattoos myself I don't mind them, the kids love em, a few have asked for real ones and they have been told once 18 and they have their own money and understand they are for life. I get Tue kiddie ones and sparkly ones for my daughter.

Age appropriate is a-okay for us.

They're pretty much just stickers that stay adhered to the skin a little longer, anyway.

I'm ok with them. It's a fun, harmless thing, I think. Some of them are quite pretty and I've been known to "get in on the fun" with the kids. They're growing out of them now, though...
