Eye Exam for 3 Year Old
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced location/doctor to get a quality eye exam for a 3 year old? We do not have vision insurance for them (twins). I was planning to take them to my eye doctor, but the cost would be nearly $300. I am willing to pay that much if that's what it costs, but I thought there may be other options that you ladies are aware of! I would prefer somewhere in or near Troy.

I highly recommend Dr. Krukowski in Royal Oak near Birmingham. He is on Woodward.
He is a pediatric eye doc. I took my son when he was 3. He was great! They have a toy room in thier waiting room and the Doc was so gentle and fun!

Oakland County health division does free vision screening for three and four year olds. Call your local branch and set up an appointment. I had both my kids vision screened through Oaklnd county health department, but I went to the one in Southfield as that is my nearest location. Not sure where your nearest location would be, give them a call.

Call oakland county health dept. I know macomb county tests for hearin and vision on 3yr olds - if it cost anything I know it is super cheap. Unless you are very concerned I would go with the county health dept.

I used to take my twin granddaughters to a huge optical place on Big Beaver, connected with HAP insurance. There was a wonderful pediatric opthalmologist there.
