Ever Used an Overseas Pharmacy? Did It Make It Throuh Customs?

I want to order a prescription drug through a Swiss company. It is for an immunization pill that I used when I was living overseas and is not available here (or in Mexico or Canada for that matter). My husband says that if I order it, they will stop it and confiscate it in Customs. Has anyone ever ordered medications that are NOT available here? What happened? I don't want to spend a ton of money and then lose the medicine to Customs!!!

What can I do next?

If they say they ship to the US that means it will make it through customs. Customs may delay some items but not take them away.

talk with the company first before you order...there are reasons why some drugs don't make it here in the U.S.....if they say it will pass through customs - great - if not - I wouldn't order it.

I ordered fertility drugs online (with an rx from my doctor) from an overseas company and I had no problem whatsoever. I just had to order them in advance so that we had them on hand when we needed them.

I used to order my meds from a Canadian pharmacy and they came from all over the world. Only once did they get stuck in customs but it was not confiscated it was just 2 weeks late.
