Hi Moms,

I am looking for an endocrinologist near Richardson or North Dallas on Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. I'm hoping to find someone experienced in pre-menopausal thyroid and adrenal issues. I'm not quite 30 and everything seems geared towards the baby boomers when it comes to thyroid issues, which is great for them but not so helpful for me.

Thanks so much!

My OB/GYN referred me to Dr. Lakhian. I'm 29 and pregnant with my second child and my levels were high. Dr. Lakhian's office is located near Preston/Park in Plano.

Dr. Stephen Aronoff at Endocrine Associates of Dallas, on Central just north of Walnut Hill. He is wonderful - very smart and knowledgeable and caring. His nurses are great too!

Dr. Emila Popa is great! She is at Baylor - the fairly new branch on Central close to North Park Mall. I've gone to her for the past 6 years. She diagnosed and treated me for Graves Disease. Now I am on maintenance meds and only have to see her 1 x a year.
Good Luck!

I have to agree with Launie... I was diagnosed with Graves Disease (a form of hyperthyroidism) a few years ago... My levels as well elevated with my current pregnancy and I was referred to Dr. Lakhian... She is a wonderful doctor that honestly takes her time to make sure you are comfortable while there and have no questions when you leave. She is a concerned doctor, not willing to look at you and write something in your chart... She makes you feel like you are talking to a caring friend... I feel lucky to have an OB/GYN like Dr. Chin connected to a circle of doctors like Dr. Lakhian and her partners.
I hope all works well for you and your family... Please take care! And thanks for what you and your husband do for our community!

L.
