We are expecting baby number 2 in late March. My husband and I love our single jogger stroller. Realizing we will need a double jogger in the not so distant future...which one do we buy? Our stoller now has a swivel front wheel... is that better than fixed??? Anyone have a suggestion on a double jogger? We realize they are expensive but both of us need and want the exercise.

Hi C.
We bought the double City Classic. My husband and I don't jog but want a stroller with big wheels for the snow. I will tell you I had no problem getting through the snow this past weekend. It is easy to stroll and has great storage.
Good luck

The double BOB revolution is amazing. Not too heavy and soooo easy to steer. The swivel wheel option is a must if you plan on using it for walking, shopping, etc. The wheel locks also which you need when you are jogging with it. To use the infant car seat in it you have to purchase a separate attachment.

I had a Baby Jogger Double Performance Jogger and used it with my kids that were 14 months apart and then again with my 2nd and 3rd who were 3 1/2 years apart, and I never felt any inbalance at all. They make a ton of options if you would rather have the swivel front wheel.

Good luck with the second baby. My kids always loved the jogging stroller walks.

I dont' have two kids (yet!) but I have friends with double strollers. One friend swears by the Baby Jogger City Mini Double, which is a side by side. It's compatible with the Graco infant seat (I think).

The other one that seems to be popular is the PHil & Ted's double jogger.

If you really want good reviews on double strollers, go to babybargains.com and click on the message board. The site is run by the authors of the book "Baby Bargains" which is THE go to book for all products baby.

Good luck!

I acknowledge it is expensive, but I LOVE my Valco double stroller. It is heavy, but I can use it for jogging. It can get over and around anything. It is super durable and my 4 1/2 yo (42 lb) son still fits in it just fine. It holds over 100 lbs total weight, which is great because my older child still likes to get strolled and even more so since his sister (now 18 months) was born. There are tons of different attachments available, even a platform and third seat (we got one for her infant carrier when she was first born, it was great since I only used the one stroller and I just did not think she was strong enough to sit up in the regular seat).Good luck

We have had the urban double by mountain buggy for the last 3+ years and absolutely love it! Go to mountainbuggy.com It's been in sand, in snow, on grass, up and down hill, in the city and rural areas. It has come with everywhere...malls, walks, Disney, zoos, etc. It weighs on the heavy side but its so sturdy and efficient that its worth the hassle. Tow warnings though: you'll need a good size SUV or mini van to store it in. Also, DO NOT waste your money on the infant carrier attachment because it will not leave enough room for you older child to be comfortable. Hope this helps! Good luck.

There is a stroller called "BOB" and it is great if you like to walk around the park but it goes on sandy, gravel, etc. it is great. My daughter has it.

We had a single BOB and it was always our favorite hands down, so it when it came time to buy a double we got another BOB. They are SO well made, and jog very easily!!

We got ours from REI

http://www.rei.com/product/751323

they sometimes run %20 a single full priced item...which is when we got ours. We happened to live by an REI at the time so didn't have to pay for shipping, which was nice... wonder if you could order one through a store in the area... good luck!
