Does Dust Cause Bad Feng Shui? :)

My husband took Kiddo to the park for an hour and a half. I considered putting my feet up, but decided to clean and vacuum instead.

I feel so much better! This weekend is hard, and I was getting pretty grumpy (troubles with child, cat, life), but this feels good. I'm going to kick back for a while and then attack the laundry.

So, does dust cause bad feng shui? If I'd done this before the weekend, would thing have felt any easier? :)~
Anyone with anything random to share, chime in. Do you have an esoteric, existential question du jour? Did the Harvest Moon do a number on you, too?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Yes, Angeles, it was meant to be a fun post. There were a few heavy ones today...

Malia, I feel your seam-ripper pain.

My husband just dropped several things as he's trying to make dinner for Kitty:"Just a wrecking machine tonight". Women are not the only afflicted parties, apparently.

Oh, Alexis-- I am so sorry about the bowl, Yes, it's funny how those indestructible items--when they do destruct-- create such a mess. I'd attack that with the vacuum, I'd be so worried about the teeny plastic slivers. ugh. sorry.

Well, if dust is bad feng shui, then I'm in MAJOR trouble, lol. We live in the desert where when we have wind, we have blowing dust. In fact, we don't get "wind" advisories (which you get in Oklahoma) we get "blowing dust" advisories... Oi. Anywho, I think it's the feeling of getting something accomplished for once. lol. I've been on a roll myself recently. Got a HUGE pile of laundry folded, got the living room cleaned and vacuumed, got a bunch of dishes done, etc... Feels SO good.

LOL...fun post H.. Whether it does or doesnt cause bad fen shui, I dunno....I assume it does though. Everything starts too look dreary, darker, the house smells different, especially if you have pets, and that effects your mood right. So I dare say YES it causes bad feng shui...lol

And yes....Harvest and Full moon doin' a number here for sure. I'm cranky, couldn't find my glasses this morning, my back is killing me.....UUUGH!!! lol

I don't know about feng shui but now you have troubles with the child, cat, child but your house is clean!

I had a college age son bring home a girl this weekend. My house is cleaner and more organized than its been in years! Boys don't care and after 25 years nither do I. I need an impetus to clean and organize.

Yes dust causes bad feng shui and I guess that means I have bad feng shui.

The energies have definitely been weird lately. It seems for the last week or so everything I touch turns to ____ and so I stopped trying. My sewing, my projects, my plans.

The harvest moon has done a number on my sewing skills today...

I'm trying to finish making a purse for a trip next weekend, and I've had to use my seam ripper BIG TIME!

The first time it was about 3 feet of a basic seam... I was stitching 1/4" from the fold of the material, but I didn't realize the material had shifted... That took a while to undo.

Now, I was sewing the outside pocket on the front of the bag, and somehow, when it came to top-stitching it down, I had both the front and back of the bag laying on the cutting table, and after I pinned the pocket, I picked it all up (not realizing the other part of the purse was there) and sewed all 3 items together!

Ok....... it just isn't going right for me today in my sewing room!

i'm sure it does. my poor dh, he was so happy when i came home with 'feng shui your life' several years ago. the dear optimist thought it meant i might actually do something!
but i swear, whenever i get the rare impulse to work the feng shui, it really makes a difference!
the harvest moon was a different sort of 'number' from what i expected. much sweeter (all my kids came home!) but so very, very chaotic. and oh oh oh, how poorly i deal with chaos in my advancing years!

Oh lord ..the harvest moon! Yes! Especially in my family. My poor Aunt was in a car accident with a motorcyclist! All are fine, thank God. Next, my own emotions have been out of wack..Crying, random bursts of anger..etc. I did feel better after attacking my freezer today. As well as vacumning my living room( my husband spilt parm. cheese all over the carpet!) , and doing the dishes. So, yes. My feng shui is back to it's normal happy self now! :)

There was certainly something going on this weekend. My husband was grouchy Friday morning and that is a rare thing with him. The worst was he denied said grouchiness in pissy tones. Very convincing but as any experienced spouse will tell you I have learned when to shut my mouth. Zip and on to the next topic of conversation. Then it was my toddler's turn on Sunday. All toddler, all day. Sheesh. To top it off I shattered a melamine bowl Sunday night. How do you shatter a melamine bowl you ask? Well, don't but trust me when I say that baby shatters into a million pieces all over the kitchen tile like fine bone china. My toddler stopped eating to stare and my husband only said, "I'll get it." Bless them both for their silence and composure. The good news is I was off on Friday with my husband for all day couple time and we did pick up the house after a recent round of painting/molding installation/sprucing up.

Feng Shui practioners say that in order for Chi (good energy) to flow through your home it needs to be clean and clutter free. Sha (negative energy) gathers in clutter and dirt and dust. Feng Shui means wind and water in Chinese the thought is that Chi should be able to move like the wind and the water.

The full moon didn't effect me but some friends of mine did a paranormal investigation last night until the wee hours of the morning. I haven't heard from anyone yet but I'm anxious to find out if anything happened. I didn't want to go on an investigation during a full moon.

Hmmm... maybe bad feng shui causes dust...(in other words, if your house were built with feng shui in mind, the house would be less likely to get so dusty...) more likely, don't you think? (IF you believe in feng shui...! And yes, maybe I'm reaching!)

Did you read Dad on Purpose's remarks about the Roomba Scooba he got and absolutely loves? Maybe that's your answer, H.! Check out his post(s) and see if it might be something you are interested in.

Can't fix your feng shui problem, but maybe the little robot can mitigate it!
