Do You Have a Wii Fitness? Do You like It?

I am looking into buying the Wii fitness and wondering if anyone has one. If so do you like it? Is it worth the money? We have been very happy with the Wii and what it has to offer, but don't want to buy this if it's not worth it.

Thanks in advance!

I'm actually so in love with my Wii Fit that I look forward to waking up in the morning to do it. We bought it a month ago, and I've already lost 4 lbs, and my hubby has lost almost 10. The personal trainers are very encouraging and the board lets you know when you're doing a position incorrectly and tells you how to correct it. The exercises are fun, and they definitely work up a sweat. My favorites are the hula hoop and the step aerobics. There are also a lot of great strength training and balance exercises. I highly recommend it. My hubby injured his back a couple of months ago, and thanks in large part to the yoga poses on this, he's more flexible and hasn't complained of pain in awhile.

I like wii fit, but it doesn't give me a great workout. I love the balance games, those are fun, and they work your core, but again, not to a point where you can skip other workouts. Hula hoop is actually the only thing that works up my sweat. Other than that, it has great yoga poses, and strength training, and its a great way to work out if you have nothing else. Awesome thing is it keeps track of your weight, gives you your BMI, and keeps track of how much you worked out each day. You can enter workouts that you did outside of wii fit as well, just to keep track of how active you are day by day. The one thing i am really disappointed in is the step aerobics part of it. Its way too easy, and doesn't do anything at all for me. All in all, I would recommend wii fit, if nothing else than just for fun! :)

We preordered ours - so we've had it since it first came out. We really like it. Like one of the others said - if you're not balanced properly it tells you, so you can fix yourself to make sure you get the benefits from it. It doesn't work up a lot of sweat, but it does help your core, teaches you proper balance, teaches stress/relaxation techniques with the yoga, and teaches you proper posture - and it's fun! A lot of the games are geared for both kids and adults! I do like that it keeps track of your BMI and weight and lets you know how good or bad you're progressing. Supposedly they are working on other games to go along with the Wii fit board...where you would put a different game into the module, but use the balance board...not sure if it will happen soon or what, but it's the rumors going around. It is worth the money if you use it! (my hubby and I haven't used the Wii much at all lately as we're both finishing up some degrees and are focussing on homework at night instead of playing games)

We like our Wii fit. Our 8 year old daughter is always on it and her friends use it when they are over.

You can get several games that have different fitness goals. We have the Jillian game for Wii fitness it is fun. My daughter always wants to get new games - but for $50 each and a lack of use after 2 days, forget it! Many video rental places have games you can get to rent. This is a good way to see if there is a Wii fit game out there that you would like to try before buying.

Great question - I'm curious too! Hopefully someone will reply. It's getting a little too cold to run outside...

Maybe there's a place where you can rent a system to try it out?
