I am about to go nuts if my husband does not control his snoring. Have any of you tried the snoring strips you put on your nose or the mouth wash they have now for snoring and if so does it work? I need sleep. Thank you

I would strongly suggest that you ask your dr (well his actually) about having a sleep study done to make sure that he does not have sleep apnea. My hubby works as a sleep lab technician and says that more people snore and stop breathing than they realize. Most of the time he has told me that insurance will cover it, so you could check into that. Also, I hate to say it, but if he is at all overweight, that is the first thing that needs to be addressed, as the problem comes with the pressure the extra weight puts on his neck, and all of the air that has to move through it. Let me know if you need any additional contact information. Good luck, I know this is a difficult problem to have...my only resolution has been this new job...he works at night helping other people who snore:) ~A.~

If it's that bad, you might check with your doctor about getting a sleep study done. Especially if he acts like, or complains about being tired during the day, etc. There are a handful of medical issues linked to snoring too.

Yes i would have him go to the doctor. My husband snores so loud im sure he wakes the neighbors. Well he did go have a sleep study done and he has severe sleep apnea. He stops breathing 30 times in 30 minutes, so scary. So they are giving him a CPAP machine and it helps him not to snore and to actually sleep. Those strips and all those other things didnt work at all for him, well now we know why.I hope that helps. I know the snoring is no fun. I have had to sleep in another room because he snores so bad.
Be blessed

My almost 12 year old daughter uses the nasal strips. She likes them and it does work. It opens up the passageway of her nostrils... it pulls the skin upward to open them up. She is able to breath easier with them.
