Has anyone went to Disney World in early June? Thinking of going the 1st week but not sure I want to battle large crowds!

What can I do next?

Hi, yes matter of fact my sister and i took our kids with my mom about 4 yrs ago in early June and the crowds weren't too bad. It however was warm and humid so take cooler close if you go. The kids will love it and that includes you too :) we had a fun time and in the evening they went swimming which felt great. At Disney World they have the cart like things to push the kids aound in if there legs get tired. My sister used it and helped alot. Good luck and have fun...Jeannez

December and January are supposed to be the best months to go. I think there is actually a book you can buy to plan your Disney vacation. A friend of mine recommended Disney Land over Disney World because it is easier to get around. Something to think about.

Unless you like crowds, don't do it! I've been to Walt Disney World over 10 times in the last 15 years (just went to Disneyland 2 years ago, too), and can help you plan, if you'd like. PM me and I'll send you the info! However, the above messages are absolutely correct that any time school is not in session, either Disney park is pretty crowded. What age are your kids? It's worth it to save up time and take them when school's in session. Let me know what you need to know, and I'll be happy to help.

Yes, I went last year at that time. It was pretty crowded. Anytime kids are not in school, Disney will be crowded. My advice is to plan for a few extra days if you can and stay on site at Disney so you can take advantage of the extra hours for Disney Guests only. It is also so much closer to the parks than staying offsite and their shuttles are amazing. They run every 30 minutes or so. We got the Park Hopper option which allowed us to go to any of the parks at any time. That way I didn't feel pressured. We'd sometimes go to one park in the morning, come back to the hotel for a short nap or swim during the hottest part of the afternoon and then back out to a park in the evening. I also got the Disney Dining plan which saved no end of hassle for me and was really more food than we could possibly eat. It also saved alot of money since we were eating at the parks most of the time. We were able to take advantage of the character dining where you get to meet the characters. The dinners without the Disney dining plan would have been $50 each person! No way would we have done that if we weren't on the plan. Also, the rides that are the most popular have Fast Pass. This means you go get a Fast Pass for a ride which tells you what time to come back. You stand in a much shorter line that way and are able to go enjoy some of the other rides or attractions while you are waiting for your fast pass time.

It was crowded but we had the absolute BEST time. I'm looking forward to going back. Have fun!

It will be VERY HOT!! And incredibly crowded. Best time to go is now. We went over Valentine's last year and it was wonderful. The difference will be waiting in line for 20 minutes vs. 1 hour ++++ Good luck. It was the most fun we've ever had as a family. The memories are priceless. I agree with Kelly B. Stay on Disney property!! It's so much better. Also go to MGM Grand. We loved it.
