Before I got pregnant I had great success with the Six Week Body Makeover and at $100 it is not bad!! The only thing is they suggest not doing it while you are breastfeeding, so if you are you might want to wait because it is a pretty strict diet - and that is what I needed to keep me on track!!

I also joined Babyfit.com. There you can find other moms who are in similar situations. They send you daily exercises, recipes and food for thought if you want and you can view message boards and chat with other moms (it is set up similar to myspace). I find it really helpful to have a small group of women to keep myself accountable. Hope that helps!

What gym do you go to? I go to Curves and they have a good diet called the 6 week challenge. I lost 24 pounds in the 6 weeks and about a month later I am up to 30 pounds lost. Plus the support there is awesome. I know a lot of people swear by weight watchers, but I have way too many things on my mind to bother with counting points. Good Luck with the weight loss.

I myself am a fan of weight watchers. It allows you to eat the foods that you like as long as you eat them in moderation. So you never deprive yourself of anything, therefore you are less likely to binge on something. Also, you should give yourself one pigout day a week, like saturday or sunday where you eat whatever you want!

different folks lose weight at different weights. Best bets are to create a calorie journal & keep track of what you eat. Eating lots of fruits & veggies help. Grapefruit is actually a good helper if you eat a few a week. Alot of exercise is good also .. good luck with my thyroid problems i can't seem to lose my tummy weight

I can only say from personal experience, I lost over 20 pounds in two months by simply cutting my carbs to about 50-60 net carbs/daily. I stuck to it fastidiusly (Sp?) in the beginning. Now, over 3 years later, I am still careful but I can add some extra carbs now and then. The secret to this is not cheating in the first few weeks or months and then maintaing a lower carb lifestyle. That means when you go out for breakfast, you do not order the toast with your eggs. You eat veggies instead of pasta (or by dreamfields pasta which is supposedly very low in carbs and also very filling, and also it tastes better than regular pasta.) It is actually more satisfactory to me then other types of diets.

Hey M. -

There is a free online diet plan called sparkpeople.com where you basically just count calories. I've been on it three weeks and I have lost ten pounds. My favorite part is that its free, and you don't have to obsess over points like you do in weight watchers, and if you have a bad week no one is there looking down there nose at you. It's also great because I don't have to leave the house to do it.
Good Luck finding the right plan to work for you!

I have tried every diet out there - weight watchers is the best and most realistic. YOu can do it right on line www.weightwatchers.com. Also it just helps to write your food down and keep track of your calorie intake.

Hi M.. I just had my second daughter in August and today I fit into my pre-preg jeans (yes they are tight but they do close)!

I am doing a special program called Isagenix. They provide scientifically engineered protein shakes that you mix with water and ice and a scoop of Isafruit (this equals 30 servings of fruit in one day). I have lost 10 pounds and 18 inches all over my body in 2 months. I feel healthy and my cholesterol should also lower. I only get to the gym about 2 to 3 times a week. I get the program from a friend of our family who is a nurse. It is safe enough to give children and there is not one artificial ingredient (no phen phen, etc.).

The absolute best thing you can do for yourself is Weight Watchers. It is a safe method. Why gamble with your health on a quick fix for those are just temporary. If you are serious about it they teach you control, focus and most importantly that you are not alone. You eat everything you want just a lot less. Drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables to fill up. Good luck.

Have you ever heard of Isagenix? I have lost 60 pounds and I have soo much energy. It is not a diet, it is a nutritional cleanse. If you would like to know more, please visit www.cleansedforlife.com It lets you know how the toxins in the air and in your body are causing weight gain. Let me know if you are interested. I was hounded for many months to sell this, and I kinda just fell into SHARING it b/c everyone wanted to know how I lost my weight! Here I am now. I am located in Brick.
Have a good day!

One of the best ways to lose weight is by making small changes to eating habits. If you look at something and call it a "diet", that makes it much more devestating if you can't stick to it, if you feel like you've failed.

I've made a lot of changes to my own eating habits within the last year, and am losing weight slowly but keeping it off!

Start with something like having only fruit or fresh fruit juice for breakfast. Try to reach for fruit, nuts, veggies, whole grain cereals/breads, instead of sweets and junk foods.

Exercise is very important, too. Even if it is just walking. I have the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds program and I love being able to exercise right in my living room. Of course my son thinks mommy is a jungle-gym, but we manage.
