Determine Sex of Baby

Hi B.,

I studied Massage Therapy and in part of the Anatomy class we learned about the sex of the baby and what makes them male or female.
First, you can't decide it. We are all born with both hormones, male and female. Second, what determines our sex is which hormone becomes the strongest or how could I put it, the more powerful. So it pretty much is up to the hormone levels in your baby and which (male or female) becomes the more powerful. I know there are alot of myths out there but those are myths. Just be happy with what God gives you.

Old Wives Tale a la my mom: Want a girl, the woman orgasms first ("We like it hot!"), a boy, the man orgasms first.
Go on laugh ladies but it's actually been used in my family for two generations and seems to have worked like magic. I know there is no logic to this but I understand how you feel B.. We wanted a boy, I tried my mom's method and we are now awaiting Sebastian.

Despite some "folk-lore" and some beliefs, there is no possible way to up the chances of conceiving a specific sex. Ask any doctor in the world and they will agree 100%. Too bad, huh??

Depending on your financial situation you could take fertility drugs, remove the eggs and have a procedure called PGD. It's primary function however is not to determine sex it's to rule genetic defects and disease. Then only the healthy eggs of the gender of your choice are fertilized and put back into you. It's very expensive.

Go to www.in-gender.com where they talk about all the methods out there. After you look at everything on there, go to the forum where there are a lot of very nice women who are trying to influence the gender of their next one, and they are very helpful if you want to find out what works and what doesn't. Probably two thirds are trying for a daughter and one third are trying for a son, so it's great for ladies who want to have a girl!

I have used a chinese calendar for both of my kids and it worked for me . You can do a google search on it and it will come up. I think the one I used was on IVillage.com

you might want to check out webmd's website it is www.webmd.com, then towards the bottom, click on Women's Health, then on the left, click on Pregnancy & Family then click on Getting Pregnant. Then click on Create Ovulation Calander. You must be a member to use the service, so you just need to register and get a ID and password, once you do that you put in date of last period and how long your cycle is. Once you create an Ovulation Calander, you click on try for a girl, and it gives you some info regarding this. Good luck, also there is the Chinese Sex Predictor, but it didn't work for me, it is about 98% accurate!
