Hi all! I came up with a great gift idea for my hard to shop for hubby. Going to give gift certificates for dates (12 dates of Christmas ). I want to make it interesting so I'm trying to find a wide range of ideas. So far I have an intro scuba lesson for us and a fencing class : ) wondering what fun things you have done or are on your to do list? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the great Ideas so far, just to clarify we are pretty time limited (scuba and fencing are both two hours and w/I half hr from house). Love love lobe the salsa lesson idea! I'm trying to find some fun and exciting or at least something to laugh about dates, as we have not done a whole lot since our daughter (2) was born. We have decided that we need to carve out a little QT as a couple. It will prob be a date or two. Month. Haha and yes I agree that's what he really wants but I want something I can wrap and give lol

Partner's yoga - hilarious! We were on the floor belly laughing - more than we have in years - plus we amazed ourselves with some cool lifts and flying poses. I'm into yoga, but this was all new for my non-stretchy hubby. He's even asking when we can do it again. :D

Very cool xmas idea! I would love to hear what your final 12 are...

Fencing? Scuba? You must have a great nanny/babysitter! I wish I had the time for that, LOL!

OK, here are some ideas:
-hot air balloon ride
-a reservation for a fancy restaurant -- like, a really nice fancy one, not the Olive Garden
-dinner at the Olive Garden (hey, why not? it's fun, and endless salad and breadsticks, LOL!)
-a car show, basketball, football, Nascar or some other "guy" date
-his and her shopping dates (my hubby and I did this -- we went to the mall and he picked out a hot outfit for me, and I did for him, and we wore each other's picks on a date together)

Nice idea! Are you going on the dates one-per-month? I would add to the list salsa dancing lesson and wine-tasting at a vineyard, if there is one around where you live. Oh yeah, and one that involves sex is always a big hit with hubbies. Good luck!

Dance lessons (salsa, hip hop, ballroom)
We used to go out for appetizers & beer tasting at a local restaurant pre-

What a great idea for a Christmas gift!
What makes for a great date really depends on the couple. My husband & I enjoy picking a meal or dish off a restaurants menu then finding the recipe or one similar, shopping for the ingredients and cooking the dish ourselves, together. (Note: I've always had a back up dinner, just in case!). A mini road-trip can be fun too. This can be as close as the next town or even with no destination in mind. My DH once took me out for coffee which resulted in a Starbucks in the next state. Sometimes no agenda is the best agenda. This site: http://www.niftydateideas.com/ offers some great ideas for all budgets, couples and interests.
