What is the best gift you've given your husband for his Birthday? My husband has everything he needs and can be hard to buy for. At the same time, he isn't hard to please either. I'd like to give him something he will really enjoy and not another gift that doesn't ever get used. I'm out of ideas this year! Please help!

What can I do next?

My wife is the same kind of gift giver - focusing on what I need, not what I want. For years I wanted a remote control helicopter and finally I just had to go get one myself. Nothing wrong with sex, either!

My husband has what he needs, and those few things that he's mentioned (like an iPod) that I've purchased, he doesn't use. This year for Christmas i got him an experience (a beer-making class) that he was really excited about. Granted, he still hasn't signed up for the class, but I think on this one he'll follow through.

Once, I also conspired with a friend's husband (I think it was their anniversary and she was looking for ideas, too), and we signed both of our husbands up for a rafting trip. They had a great time together.

I did an experience a few years ago...I got him a day of race car driving. He is not a NASCAR fan, but loves to drive fast. He totally loved it and still talks about it. We did this one: http://www.racingadventure.com/tracks/track_day.php

Good luck! A.

My hubby is a huge college football fan and one year I got him an Iowa State Cyclones football helmet...an actual helmet, not the easy to find mini ones. He loved it! Of course, they have changed their helmets since I bought it, so I should get the new one!

honestly it depends on what kind of guy your husband is .. for example if i were to buy my fiance something like an ipod he would be like what the hell am i supposed to do with this.. if i got him a big gift card to home depot or tickets to a football game i think he would cry tears of joy .. my dad still talks about how my mom got him new golf clubs for christmas like 15 years ago .. so like i said it depends on your husband, what kinds of things is he into??

How about an experience?? My DH has always wanted to learn to fly, but because of his vision that's not really a possibility, but I called a local flight school and asked if he could still have a lesson and take the wheel and they totally did it (wasn't too exp). He LOVED it! One year, did a surprise bday party, bought tix to a football game, concert tix. Have fun with it.
