Okay I need help with this one. I was/have been shopping at CVS and accumulated the reward bucks but I never was able to use them. Is there a trick to this? Can you only use them once month or only on certain days. I have had my CVS card for at least 5 years and have never seen a single "buck" used on my purchases. Do they expire? How do you know when you can use them? Do you automatically get the "bucks" or do you ask them to use them? I know this is a silly question but could someone please point me in the right direction on this one! I am totally lost! Thanks!

So What Happened?

Oh My Goodness!! And to think I stopped shopping there because I got frustrated with those bucks! Thank you mamas! I thought the rewards were saved on the card and now I know to save the receipt. I even registered online at one time but I thought that just activated the points on my card! I am a silly mama...

This is to you and the others who have replied! Go to the CVS website. Sign up for an account and you don't have to keep up with the reciepts! You can go online anytime and put in the # on your CVS card and it will tell you how many bucks you have and you just print them out! If you lose that, print another 1!I always do that insted of having the reciept clutter in my purse! I only use CVS for my RX purchases but when I get the bucks back I do go use them on something! Free money!

Oh my, I'm a CVS shop-a-holic and rarely spend any out of pocket cash there. I continue to "ROLL" my earned Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) into each new shopping trip, trying to buy other items with manufacturer coupons and combined with new CVS deals that offer more ECBs. If you want to get real Savvy on how to best earn and use the CVS ECBs, then go to these two sites:

www.slickdeals.net, this is a FREE site, just register and then read/use as you like. info on CVS can be found when you click on FORUMS and "Drugstores..." or plug-in CVS ECBs on the SEARCH tab. You won't believe how much you'll see and learn there about different scenarios for using manufacturer coupons, coupled with CVS weekly & monthly deals and earning more ECBs to use again on your next trip.

www.grocerygame.com, you can do a TRIAL usage of this site for $1 for 4 weeks to see if you'd like to continue using. most of the women that use this site believe that they SAVE so much money from this system that it more than pays for the monthly fee. however, i'm on such a tight budget, that i cannot currently afford to use it. so, i just on to the site and click on MESSAGE BOARDS (on the left side) and then on TODAY'S POSTS to see all the HOT TIPS on CVS and many other stores (grocery & drugstores). there is no fee req'd to just read the boards for tips.

I hope all this helps. You definitely don't want to earn and lose anymore of your valuable ECBs from CVS as it is just like cash. ENJOY the savings. Many Blessings - L.

They give them out once a quarter. They print out on the first cash register receipt you receive after the quarter begins. You treat it like any coupon. You cannot use it to buy Rx's though. They do expire, I believe within 1 month of when you receive it. I have forgotten about them countless times and have let probably $50+ worth expire over the years. I don't shop at CVS that often for anything besides Rx's EXCEPT when I get my CVS bucks. Then I go in the store and at least spend that money...when I can remember anyway.

They print on your receipt. YOu need to save the receipts and use it when you go back in. They usually expire a month after you get them. I've lost a ton of money because I lose the receipt they are printed on. Wish they would just put it on your card.....

I used mine the other day for $5.50 and it was in conjunction with a $10.00 off coupon from CVS that I got after buying meds that same day. So I got a total of $15.50 off my total. If you get one after purchasing something you have to use it on your next purchase. Make sure you have your card or telephone number you had when first getting your card.

They do expire, usually within a month...it will have the expiration date on it. They can be used any time, just like a coupon. I love them and plan my purchases around them!!

Dear LG,
You use the reward bucks just like real Money. They have a date on them and they do expire on that date.
so keep them in your billfold and you will have them next time at the store.
