I'm looking for someone to bake a birthday cake for next weekend. I know this has been asked before and there were alot of good recommendations, but I can't find them archived anywhere. Can anyone recommend a good baker who'll bake a custom cake for my 4 year old dd in a week?
Well I have tried every name on this list and only one person has called me back. All Things Sweet called and she can't do it. So I still don't have a cake. If there is anyone else I could try, I would appreciate any and all recommendations.

Try The Cake Lady in Richardson. I don't remember their number, but you can get it off their website, www.thecakelady.org.
Check the CAKE STAND in McKinney...they did one for me in a week. I also have a friend that does them herself, but not sure if she is available for next week...you could try her too.

I second what Jennifer D. said. Call Christy Ryder with All Things Sweet. We tried her for the first time just a few weeks ago and it was the best cake EVER!!!!!!!!

Go to www.allthingssweettx.com I've used this lady-Christy Ryder- so many times and couldn't be happier!!! She is amazing!!!! She does them out of her home, so she's very affordable. Her cakes are not only beautiful, but they taste WONDERFUL too! She's done a 2 foot long dinosaur, 2 tier (square) Wrigley Field baseball diamond, and Diego cakes- to name a few - that were all the talk of the town!!!! I hate that Christy Ryder is not available, she's so great. There is also a bakery located at N/W Spring Creek/Central in the same strip center that has the Halloween Spirit Store. They make good and pretty cakes, too. Their art is going to be featured this Fall on Food Network for their cake designs. They have similar to Christy's, but not as good. The Cake Lady is good, as well, but she is not always easy to get, either.

Busy Little Bee not sure the exact web address but run a google search and you should find it. She is located in Plano and does free delivery to Collin County. Her cake was beautiful and tasted yummy. Good luck!
