Hi! We toured Creme de la Creme in Frisco today and are considering sending our 16mo old son there. Is IS more expensive than anywhere else we looked, but it seemed worth it. We were not that impressed with Primrose or Preston Kiddie Kollege (which we also toured)--the difference seemed night and day with Creme. Just wondering if anyone else has had experiences there. Would you recommend it? Is there anywhere else that you feel you are getting as good or better of an experience? thanks!!

What can I do next?

We LOVE St. Mark's Child Development Center in Plano. No frills, but ZERO turn over and great love and academics. Same teachers have been there for 15 plus years! Can't say enough about it.

My 5 year old son has been going to Creme de la Creme in Plano since he was 8 months old and though there have been a few bumps in the road along the way (when he was in Gard 3 his class had a few different teacher changes for his class that really affected the children) I am glad he is there and it is worth the money. They learn so much and he really enjoys it there. He did the t-ball for a while then switched over to TOTs (extra-cirricular activities that Creme offers starting at 3 years old, i think, for an additional price per month). He has friends that have been there with him since he was in his toddler class and it's amazing the bonds that they form; though his friends are several months older than he is and it was a bit difficult when they made the transition from Creme Prep to Kindergarden and my son is in TK - Transitional Kindergarden because of his birthday (he turned 5 just after the Sept. 1st cut-off date for Kindergarden). All the staff are friendly and know his name; the Plano police officers are there in the mornings and afternoons and are always friendly to all the kids.

Also, the kids LOVE water park in the summer time!! I assume the Frisco facility has the little water park area like the Plano facility does... :-)

I haven't heard anything about Creme de la Creme Frisco per se, but I would recommend the school. I had him in in TLC in Plano off of Legacy near Schwepps/JCPenney for several months after he was born and was extremely disappointed with the facility and staff; only good thing to say about that school was that I could log on during the day to see him in his infant class. That IS the only good thing I have to say about that school, other than it was cheap and after my son contracted a serious illness from the school (which they did not tell the parents it was going around the school) and ended up in Children's Medical Center in a breathing machine fighting for his little life, we decided he was worth spending the extra $$$ to send him to Creme de la Creme and have not been disappointed.

You have to pick where you feel the most comfortable and if you can afford it....go for it. In my opinion you are paying big $$$ for the building, not the care or education.

I used to work there as a vendor for an extra curricular program and the teachers and care are the same as other places. Wasn't overly impressed with them....but the building was cool.

A child in my daughter’s class attend Creme Frisco before attending school with my daughter. His mother said the same as the others on here that she felt she was paying for the building. Her son was constantly being bitten and Creme put the blame back onto her son (at the time I believe he was around 18 months).

I was actually relieved to hear that it was not as great as it was cracked up to be...I too thought the same as you about Creme & Primrose. Initially my daughter went to in home care. Once she turned 21 months (January '10) she started at Frisco Trails Montessori (Main & Teel) and has been there every since. She started in the toddler program and is now in the transition program. I can not believe how much she has learned from language development to potty training. I already have my seven month old on the waiting list for starting next October.

Best of luck with your decision.

My friend sent her son there but wasn't impressed with what her son actually learned for the amount of money she spent. He had a hard time when he went to public school because he was behind. It may just be that one particular situation and not like that across the board. As for the actual care, I think it was good and your child is so young, that's all that matters at that age.
