Cramps at 7 Weeks Along

Ones in a while I'll get cramps. It feels like menstral cramps. I was told by someone that it's comon to have cramps. It's just the expanding of the uterus and all the changes that your body is going thru. Can anyone confirm or help me on my concerns.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Everything smoothed out I feel much better. It must have been just the hormone and growth processes.
Thanks

This is common as your uterus expands, if this is your 1st pregnancy then your not used to the stretching that you are feeling. However if you start spotting, get into your OB and get check.

Good Luck!

I had the exact same thing happen when I was pregnant. They were uncomfortable "menstreul like" cramps off and on in the beginning for awhile. I told my dr. about them and he said that is normal and like someone else said, it is a sign of your uterus expanding. So don't be concerned. I would still address it to your Dr. but you should be fine.

I had the same thing. It lasted throughout my whole pregancy. Always check with your OB to make sure everything is ok. If it gets worse have them do a ultrasound to confirm that everything is ok. I had that done and it was a huge relief especially after a previous miscarriage. Good luck M. T

ALWAYS check with your doctor and always notify him/her of anything out of the ordinary. Is this your first pregnancy? If so, don't be so worried that you stress about it. Speak to your doctor or his nurse and let them know of your concerns, if it is something they also are concerned about, they will get you in! Cramping can be a normal thing as long as you are not bleeding and it doesn't go beyond "period type" cramps. Good luck and Congrats!

It is more than likely your ligaments stretching...No worries. If you have spotting or they get unbearable I would call your Dr, just to ease your mind. I had them as well, I was paranoid because I had a couple of miscarriages.I have to tell you , there will be a list of really different things to happen to your body for the next 9 mo. heehee It goes by pretty fast. Enjoy the miracle growing inside!!!Congratulations!!!

I got those with my son it almost felt like a pinching pain like he was pinching me or something from inside out. isnt that weird but when I was pregnant with my daughter I had cramps when i was stressed. just take a hot bath and read a baby magazine. it will calm you. but if it gets bad go to the doctor or call him/her just in case.
