Just curious if any of you moms work in the same place as your significant other (even if on different floors of the same building, different departments etc,). If yes, do you eat lunch or take breaks together?
I have a couple working for me, and they usually eat lunch together. They are in their 50s and have a very loving relationship (it warms my heart to see it).
My wife and I have never worked together. However, when I retired I would make dessert for her and her co-workers and arrive just before my wife was scheduled for lunch. But her lunch times always seemed to be fluid so I only got to go and eat with her only once. But all her co-workers, loved the desserts. When I brought her a boquet of roses from my garden and a love poem, my wife told me she was the last one to read it as all of her co-workers felt they had a right to see what I wrote. I brought extra roses so each of her coworkers could have one, but they read my poem(s) anyway.
But it was the thought that counted.
BTW, my wife was asked by her co-workers if I would teach their husbands to do the same. My wife thought all husbands did this (flowers, poems, etc.) because she started telling me she loved what I was doing and before she just took what I did for granted.

MY husband & I have worked together for years but he is on the manufacturing side and I am in marketing/adv so there's not a lot of "crossover. We do lunch out occasionally though, which is nice. he's also my on-site ATM. :)
I am my husband's BOSS! He works mostly out of the office though (we work at a construction company), on job sites, so we are not together at work very often. On the occasional day when we find ourselves in the same place at the same time, we will make a point to have lunch, coffee, or take a walk around the block. Some days we are at each others' throats, but most days it works out well and we enjoy working together.
My husband and I used to work together for several years. He is in construction so he rarely was in the office, where I worked at. If he happened to be in the shop for the day, we sure did eat together. I LOVED it.
I don't but several of my coworkers do.
One couple eats lunch together EVERYDAY
Several other couples will if their schedules allow, if not, will bring the other something.
We used to work for separate companies in the same building, but rarely ever had lunch together. I'm a workaholic and would eat at my desk; he would go out with his work crew. Sometimes he would bring me lunch and eat with me, which was sweet, but... I was still working ;)
I've worked with my husband twice over the years-once when we first met and once again two years ago but just for the holiday season.
When we first met we didn't get breaks (EMS) so no we didn't. Two years ago when we worked for the holidays we did take lunch together everyday. I loved it!
My husband and I have worked for the same company in different departments for 19 years. We met through work dated for a year and a half, were engaged for a year and a half, and have been married for 14 years this summer. We take two breaks a day together and have lunch together everyday. There are days when one of us misses a break or have to travel. Sometimes we have to go to lunch with our bosses, but 90% of the time we manage to check in with each other.
It is a nice way to stay connected. We can vent to each other about problems without fear of anything being repeated. We also discuss schedules, appointments, what to cook for dinner and of course the kid. Everyone in the building knows when he is on the road, because I stay at my desk all day.

For about 9 months we both worked from home - sat at the table together - I loved it. Thought I would hate it - and I might have in a traditional office environment - but we would take walks everyday around 10am with the dog - eat lunch together - have afternoon quickies (LOL) if possible - I miss it. :-)
My hubby and I work at the same firm -- 1 floor apart. We eat lunch together maybe 1 time a week. A lot of time we eat at our desks so 1 of us might run out to get the food while the other continues to work.
Yes, and sometimes. Not all the time, though.
We have different schedules and roles, so when the moons align, we'll have lunch together.
