HI!
I have had a Blackberry, and thought I really liked it until I had the iphone. Hands down, the iphone is a great product. Typing on a BB is easier since you can use two hands, it is difficult to type a message on an iphone with two hands so messages or responses are shorter. They have an upgrade to the software this summer which will allow copy and paste and some other general functions which you would expect you might want to wait for that.

Hi T.,
I've never personally owned an Iphone, but I've heard they are great. I have a Blackberry and would not recommend it. It seems to always turn off and lags when you press a button. I switched to the Blackberry because I had a Palm, which was even worse than my Blackberry... I would NEVER recommend getting a Palm (my husband and I had numerous problems with ours). We both want to switch our Blackberry phones for a Iphone when our contract is up because we've heard nothing but great things from people who have Iphones. I hope this helps!

I can't "compare" because I have never had a Blackerry.

However, my family has Iphones. Hubby and daughter have the Iphone 3G (newest model) and love them. I have the Iphone that came out first and I love it.

I will say that their phones are faster. We got daughters with the largest amount of storage because she has a ton of songs, games, apps.

We will probably never go without Iphones again. My daughter is on my package and our bill is about $170/month. We pay the fees for internet and then I pay an extra $30/ month for unlimited texting and pics. WORTH it.

Hubby has his own set up with a lot more minutes and he pays about $170/month for his.

I love it because I no longer have to take my laptop when we travel. I have my internet access.

Con: cannot put it on the warranty system with ATT, however, you can purchase an extended warranty (which we did with daughter).
Con: you can't text pics, you have to email (unless I have not figured something out)
Con: you can't automatically save text messages. (There is a way around this but time consuming...can be done) I'm talking about saving/sending to an email account vs saving on the phone.

IPhone is super light and easy to have in pocket. DONT drop it.

My vote is IPhone, we will not carry anything else.

Good luck

My husband and I have Iphone and we love it. I have to warn you that the phone function does take a while to get use to, but with other applications you have, worth the trade off. I love the internet function as well as the GPS function. I know that my GPS is most up-to-date and I no longer get lost. I say if you are going to be on ATT network where you will pay for the data plan with either phone, I will pay little extra to get the IPhone for functionality.
Don't know about Blackberry, but if you lose IPhone, you will have to buy another one. Apple has pretty good customer service if you phone break durig warrant period, they will then replace it with a brand new one, no question asked.
Good Luck!

Well, I'm in the minority, I've heard from my friends that the iPhone isn't that great except for the internet capability - which is not why I have a PDA. I have a blackberry and it does exactly what I want it to do. The main reason I didn't get the iPhone is that Apple does not offer insurance on the iPhone - only to corporate customers. I can't afford to replace the iPhone if it falls and breaks or ends up in the lake. The AT&T representative also made this recommendation based on my needs and concerns.
