Childcare Options

Looking to research local part-time childcare options including area daycare, in-home childcare both nannies who come to the home or anyone who watches newborns in their home.

What can I do next?

I'm in Glendale Heights off of Bloomingdale and Army Trail and would love to take in another child. I currently watch one full time and one part time. However, the full time will be open soon. If you are interested please give me a call at ###-###-#### Thanks.

Hi K., I'm not sure if you have found daycare yet! I am a licensed childcare provider in Bolingbrook. I have 2 little ones moving out of state and I have an opening for an infant. I don't know where you are located, but if you are interested in a slot for your infant contact me by e-mail or phone.

Thank You

Not sure where you are located, but generally speaking, the most expensive option is a nanny in your home (as you are paying somebody's entire salary). The least expensive option is typically a home day care. Centers are in between those two. Most important is finding somebody you trust of course and who has the same kinds of values you hold...prioritizing what is important to you I guess. With a center, there is always somebody there for your child (don't have to deal with what happens if the caregiver gets sick or has an emergency or something). But there are also more sicknesses around a center and less consistency on WHO is caring for your child than if you have one person as the caregiver like in a home day care of a nanny. More peer social time with a day care as opposed to nanny. More individualized care with a nanny or often with a home day care too. Less sicknesses floating around with a home day care or nanny. It's sometimes harder to find space for part time with a nanny or home day care though than at a center. Just some of the pros and cons to them off the top of my head. I've worked with all those situations and personally I like the home day care option best so long as you can find a good fit with an opening! :) Best wishes to you and congradulations on your first child you are expecting!

Hi K.!
I am a stay at home mom and I watch children part time. I am currently looking to do this from my home, the last family I sat for was at their home but after I had my 2nd child it became difficult to manage! I'm on the Naperville/Aurora border and would love to chat if you are interested in in-home childcare!

Hi K., my name is M. P., I'm expecting my second child in August too. Congrats to you on your 1st! Once I have the baby I will become a stay at home mom. And would be more than happy to care for your baby.

I'm in Rogers Park. And I'd prefer you bringing your bundle of joy to me since I have to get my first son (5 years old) off to school and home from school. My mother lives with me and doesn't work so I'm figuring she could pick him up while I stay home w/the little people. You did say part-time so I'm not sure of the times. I would like to charge 8 or 9 dollars per hour. Just throwing myself out there. Good luck with your research and hope you find exactly what you're looking for.
